Highly recommend for taller gardeners.
I cannot praise this spade highly enough. Every winter I am tasked with digging over my elderly father's vegetable patch, which is a large area (10m X 6m). On previous occasions I have used a regular spade and gotten back ache, so I bought this to rectify that. It's done the job amazingly well! I'm 6ft3 so this is ideal for tall gardeners, the long handle eliminates the need to keep bending down low. A must have if you're over 6ft and have got a large area to dig.

Game changer
I can now dig the garden without having to bend my back as much.This shovel design really does reduce the amount of bending required I have found. It seems well made and first impressions make me believe it will last a long time .Some reviews state the stickers that adore the shovel are hard to remove,they are ,but why bother I haven't . This shouldn't distract from how well this shovel helps if you suffer from mild back pain but want to do some gardening or similar task.Very impressed, would buy again

Not as Roughneck as name suggests!
It is long handled, it is yellow but thats about as much of the description I can say is correct! Blade feels a bit flimsy & liable to bend if put under real pressure. Blade is also the wrong shape to cut through the tough stuff, I know it's not a pointed blade so I don't expect it to slice the same but the edge is to square shaped to cut through any really compacted heavy soils.I do like the big thick grip at the end.Definitely expected much better quality from Roughneck, as a brand they do push the idea they're heavy duty but in the past I have had much better spades that were genuinely heavy duty, if you're in the UK don't bother with this, go to Wickes and buy their own brand instead, far better for very similar cost. You'll be glad you did
