A winner
I really dig this. It is well made. You do get different tones from the red dots but a trained ear can hear the distinction between your right and let hand sticking. The foaming side on the backside is said to be used for warming up and strengthening of the muscles. This is pretty good and furthermore, I think Anika Miles if not the best, is one of the best female drummer out there and that makes me proud. Admirable in my opinion.

You can do better
Playing on main surface on this pad feels more like beating your sticks on a hard piece of plastic than anything else. And it’s noisy. If you need a multi-surface practice pad, get a standard evans pad and cover part of it with a hand towel or wash cloth. It feels better and is not as noisy as this meinl pad.
