No, the most common true "flat wound" strings are bass strings. The flat wound style of Bass String gives a smoother sound which the only other way to achieve is a fretless neck. These are a regular light gauge 6 string electric guitar strings. The lighter the gauge the more comfortable they play and side bend when playing lead.

Q: I want to use this gauge for dadgad tuning. anyone used these for this tuning?

These strings are fine for almost any open tuning you can think of...you only need heavier strings on extreme drop tunings like open C...the strings get a little more loose and slap the fretboard more... 🎸🔊🎶🤘
