Finally found headsets better than LG
I have been using several models of the LG U shaped headsets for years. They were the best on the market but they are very expensive. I bought a set of these and I actually like them BETTER than the LGs. Here are the 7 reasons why.1. The answer feature is very unique. You pull out the retractable earbuds to answer the phone. With the LGs, you have to pull out the earbuds AND press the button so these are easier and simpler.2. It has a dedicated ON/OFF button. I recently purchased the LG Style U shaped headsets and it uses one multifunction button for Answer and ON/OFF. It takes 4-5 seconds on holding the button to turn it off and on. With the switch type button, you can feel whether it is off or on and you just slide the button up or down. That's simpler, faster and easier for me.3. It has an ambient noise reduction switch. If you are in an area with a high noise background, you just slide this switch to the ON position and it reduces the ambient noise making things easier to understand for the person on the other end of a call. This button is on the right side and is the only button on the right side so you won't get it mixed up. My guess is that it just reduces mic sensitivity but that still helps in a high background noise environment.4. It uses a microUSB charging port which is a pro or con depending on your cables. I use a 3-in-1 cable that has C, micro and lightning connectors. My phone is USB C and while I am charging my phone I can charge the headset with the microUSB. For most people it is best to have everything USB C and this is not a plus for most.5. Completely flexible. The prior LG models tend to break right the middle. I've had three headsets break at this failure point although I must admit, I get several years of use before they break. With the constant putting on of the headsets the material gets fatigued and eventually cracks and that means you must replace the headset. These appear to be completely flexible and I don't think it will suffer from the same material fatigue but I don't know since I have not had this set long.6. Different colors. It comes in 3 different colors. With the LGs, I had black, silver, white, blue and gold. They don't make as many colors anymore but these do have 3 nice colors that go well with different attire.7. Price. These are half of price of the LGs and the sound quality is just as good.

If you like LG, you'll like these
After using LG for the past several years (700, 730, 750, 820, A100) I was hesitant to try anything else. However, after some less than positive experiences trying to buy quality used LG Tone headsets, and trying other types of headsets (the ones meant almost exclusively for working out), I thought I would give these a shot.I am very pleased with them so far. Audio quality is comparable to LG Tone (but I am by no means an audiophile). They are just as comfortable as LG. Whether it is LG or these, I know I have them on but the weight is insignificant such that unless you reach for them, you cannot feel them. The answer/hang up feature is pretty cool as well. When a call comes in, I don't have to fumble for my phone to answer, just pull out either earbud and start talking. Hanging up is just as easy. Retract one (if only one is extended) or both and the call ends.Features that would be nice to have:LG app - double tap call button to call specific contact or choose from several contacts.Exfit Mate app does not have this feature but it does use voice dialing/texting through Google (I choose not to use Google)Audio transparency is ok but makes external audio sound kinda weird. I typically don't use it.All in all, if you've used LG in the past and you are looking for a more affordable alternative, give this one a shot. I don't think you'll be disappointed.EDIT: I have been using these every day for the past two years. Then in the past week or so, just as other have stated, they randomly disconnect/reconnect. It is very frustrating because if I am on a call, I have to wait for it to reconnect or if I am watching a show, I have to pause for about 30 seconds until it reconnects.

Great value in a headset with all the right features.
I've been using neckband style headsets for years now, all LG. I've had the HBS-800, HBS-850, and HBS-A80. My HBS-A80 was getting a short in the left ear, so it was time to get a new headset. LG didn't have any new "active" style headsets that offered sweat/splash resistance, so I decided to research other brands. I came across the Exfit BCS-700, which seemed to have all of the features I wanted as well as good reviews, so I decided to give it a shot. I've been using it for a few days, and while I haven't put it though *all* the paces yet, I like it so far.Pros:- simplified controls. My HBS-A80 had two rocker buttons and two regular buttons (not including power button). The BCS-700 has one rocker and one button (not including power switch or audio passthrough switch). The simplified controls may not be for everyone, but I like how the buttons, etc. are minimized.- volume. These seem to get louder than my HBS-A80 set, which is good for yard work.- retractable. This is an absolute necessity. I don't want headphones dangling everywhere, I want to be able to easily secure them when not in use.- call quality. My wife hated trying to talk to me with the HBS-A80. I'd often switch it off Bluetooth in a call and hold the phone up to my head because otherwise the quality was intolerable. My wife said this headset actually sounds "good". I haven't tried talking in a noisy place yet but initial conversations seem to be good.- sweat proof - I'm not gonna go dunk this thing and prove how water proof it is, but it's nice to have peace of mind and not worry about getting this thing wet when I'm doing yard work, fishing, or whatever else.Cons:- retractable feature quality. Overall this is not a big concern, but I think that LG uses better quality retractor mechanisms, the headphones snap into place. The headphones don't feel like they really snap into place on this.- vibration. LG seemed to be able to make the whole headset feel like it was vibrating. This only vibrates on one side.- rocker switch, more like a slider. It's kind of awkward to have to grab ahold of the headset and push the rocker switch/slider in whatever direction you want.- battery life. It would be nice if it had a little longer battery life. I'm already in the habit of charging every day, but 12 hours of battery life would be better.- size - this headset is large, bigger than the HBS-A80 and the other headsets I've had. I'm a big guy so it's not noticable on me, but it might look big on smaller people.Neither pro nor con, just things I thought were odd:- EQ settings. There's normal, bass, and treble. Normal and bass seem to cut out a lot of mid-range frequencies. I leave this on treble, and it sounds almost exactly like my HBS-A80. No complaint, just an oddity.- "Audio transparency". If you turn this on, the headset mixes whatever comes in through the mics into whatever you're listening to. I can't figure out how this is useful unless maybe as a safety feature. Basically ambient noise comes through sounding like it's coming through a telephone and with a very short delay.Overall the cons are just very minor annoyances, this meets pretty much all of the requirements I have for a headset, and if mine was lost or stolen I'd buy it again without even shopping around.I'll update this again later if more new information comes to light.--------------------------------------UPDATE:I've had time to put this headset through a good amount of testing and wanted to report back. I've spent multiple days with this thing working outside, sweating profusely, and it has held up fantastically. No concerns with its build quality, it's solid.Something I forgot to mention in my original review is the Bluetooth range, which is outstanding. Better range than any LG headset I've owned.I complained about the battery life in my original review, but after extensive usage, the battery lasts long enough for a full day of usage, and maybe then some. As long as you charge it at the end of the day, you'll be fine.Regarding music: I've listened to a good bit of metal with this, which has a lot of heavy, low bass lines, double bass kicks, etc. Oddly enough, when this is in "treble" mode, the bass sounds distorted. When in "normal" or "bass" modes, it sounds less distorted. So I'm a bit disappointed in that, but since I primarily listen to podcasts, this isn't really an issue for me. Might be for someone that listens to more music and is trying to temper the bass a bit by setting it to treble mode.

Decent & Well Worth the Money..
I bought these over 6 months ago, and they're still going strong. Sometimes they start clipping while on the phone, but if I shut them off & restart them they work just fine. It's not an issue when you compare the price to the more expensive ones.Update (15-Feb-2021)..I wrote this after making my second purchase of these ear buds. My 1st pair still work, but started cracking at the grey plastic assembly where the earbuds retract. I keep electrical tape around them now to keep them from falling completely apart, and to me that makes them too unsightly to wear throughout the day while I'm out in public or am at work. My original pair are well over 2yrs old, and my second pair will be a year old in May 2021. Although my 1st pair are being held together by routinely replaced electrical tape, I still use them for phone calls and listening to audio books and music while performing yard work, exercising, or performing routine house work at home. I use to only purchase LG earbuds, and these have by far outlasted the most expensive $80-$100 LG earbuds I've purchased in the past. All my LG retractables broke before they where a year old, and the few non-retractable ones I've purchased developed shorts in the earbud wires. The only other issue than mentioned above that I'm starting to have now is the in-call mic quality. I'm starting to get complaints that my voice transmissions are distorted, or are barely audible. I'm going to attempt to clean the mic area to see if that helps, but if that doesn't solve the problem I may have to purchase a new pair in the near future, and maybe just repurpose the second pair for listening only usage with my laptop at work. My 2nd pair are almost a year old now, and nothing like this used on a daily basis lasts forever. I like to get at least one year or more out of any Bluetooth headset I purchase, and so far they've been successful. There may be a slight quality control issue at their point of manufacturing, which may explain some of these terrible reviews I'm seeing; but thus far my own experiences with this model have been mostly positive.
