Steve Fearsons Vectra Line DVD

First in this review I'd like to address Vectra Line. It's very strong and invisible. Comparing it to standard thread I really don't think I can use the cheap stuff. It's a five star invisible thread.As for this specific product with the DVD you get quite a lot of thread. I haven't stripped it all but it's a lot, I'd guess a good hundred or more setups. I haven't used the wax much yet but it does seem sticky and high quality. However there's not near enough to setup all the thread, but as you may know or will know after using IT much it takes a lot of wax. However, this product does give a nice sample of the wax so you can test it to see how much you like it and either buy more or use your favorite wax.Next we have the DVD itself. I'd consider it 90% a demonstration DVD. Steve talks about his Master Levitation System which I haven't viewed and cannot comment other than the fact it's $39 and this product is $18. Spirit Fork has a pretty decent explanation but otherwise it's mostly demonstrations of what can be done with the thread. It's really basic. However, if you are a total beginner it does give a good explanation on how to strip the thread with a few ideas on hook-ups. There's really little here and for the cost of the package I can understand why. Expect a few good ideas but not detailed instructions. There's probably half as much thread that comes with this DVD as comes in the stand alone Vectra Thread product, so the DVD's only a few bucks.So in conclusion Vectra Line is a very good and strong invisible thread. If you're a beginner then you may need this DVD, and if you're more advanced you may just want to purchase this product to get a quite a bit of the thread and wax to test it out and maybe gleam a few ideas off the DVD. Regardless, this is very good thread I highly recommend with or without the DVD.
