I like the weight of the pen, it feels solid and not cheap. While I don't think it will replace any tools I think it's a useful 'gimmick' gift for someone in the carpentry/construction business.Having said that, I personally do use the measurement aspect frequently. I use it when shopping on Amazon and the description of a small item gives a length/width/height measurement, I don't have to go get the tape measure from the tool box. I just grab the pen.

Pen tip would not twist out in order to use. I ordered the blue version because it is supposed to come with blue ink...came with black ink. Rec'd replacement timely and pen works great but still has black ink.Overall, I do like weight....feels sturdy. Measurements appeared to be quite accurate when compared to a ruler.PS: it's not just for men :-)

Pen stopped retracting about a month after buying. Tried to replace it. They won't replace it which I get. I know the return policy so that's fine. But still junk.
