USS Midway - The Hero Ship (History Channel)

My Dad was on the Midway. He enjoyed this and it brought back fond memories

I would have been nice to not have black and white pictures Otherwise the film was excellent.

As an military and navel aficionado and someone who did a midshipman cruise on the Midway back in 1976, I was excited to find this DVD. I wasn't disappointed at all. Plenty of information about the history of this great ship. Good video coverage of flight deck ops and the ship underway. Would have been nice to see more interior shots, but I am sure those are hard to come across. All told, makes me want to get out to San Diego all the more to see the ship.

Product was in excellent shape and the DVD was a great presentation of the USS Miday.

I was on the Midway during the Vietnam War and wanted to watch the video before visiting this May.

I was expect to see more of the ship other then air operations since I served on the ship in the 70"s while we were in Yokosuka Japan I guess I wanted to see the interior but since is more for people to get an idea how 3500 lived on board at least I can show it to my nephews how spent 2 years on it. thanks anyway

A gift for my father, who served on the carrier in the 50s, it does a great job discussing the role of the USS Midway during its active years.

Having recently had the pleasure of being on the USS MIDWAY for a relatives retirement ceremony, June 2009 It was most enjoyable to watch the DVD of the Midway in all her finest glory. I have now passed it on for my grandchildren to watch as 3 of them were on the great aircraft carrier with me. They were just as impressed as I was.The DVD is most informative showing all about the refurbishments. If anyone goes to San Diego it is well worth a visit to see the real thing.

☆☆☆☆☆にするしかありません。だって他にUSS MidwayのDVDって無いですから。多分トンキン湾の一番奥に進攻したのも湾岸戦争でも大活躍したのもUSS Midwayだったと思う。多くのMIG killersを生んだ空母で息の長かった勇気ある空母だ。今はSan Diegoに博物館として眠っている。私は空母ファンでも戦争ファンでもないがこのDVDは気に入った。
