excellent yet again
This series is so addictive can’t put it down.Haven’t had a book series that has kept me interested in reading it for quite sometime until I started reading this one. Love the characters and the way the story keeps you guessing as to what is going to go wrong next… Sure hope Breena and Crash find a way to be together though

Confused!!!
I've got to admit this is my first reviewng one of Shannon Mayer's books and I'm only doing so, due to the very fact that one of her newer character's has suddenly changed her name from book four to book five!!! The character being a ten year old neighbour's daughters name!!! It's gone from Charlotte to Anne!!! I do hope that we'll soon find out why!! Also Breena has suddenly gone from 41 years of age to 43 years of age, although the time elapsed from book four to five is apparently a week or two at most as it was stated by Breena's narrative in the book!!! I've loved all her novels since the very first book i had taken out on Amazon's kindles unlimited!!! After reading **Witch's Reign** i sent it back and then brought the whole series including auditable (cost a fortune let me tell you 😂😂) and have brought every other book of hers (although I've yet to read the Rylee Adamson series and the Elemental series) without caring for the cost!! I've knocked a star off though due to the fact that these two issues are whoppingly (yes I made up a word 😋😋) and glaring mistakes that anyone who has truly immersed themselves into Bree's life will pick up on!!! After all if Bree had lived in the UK....in Basildon, on my street and next door to myself, AND more importantly.....had been real,,,,she and i would be best friends as she's so much like me, (although I do not drink any form of alcohol and I'm happy to say i never have and I'm 52!!) I would quite happily keep a rather huuugggeeeeeee amount of whiskey stored in my home!!! I've laughed so hard that I too, like Bree, have far too many times had to squeeze my legs together in case of possible leakage, (all women of our age have to deal with....especially as I've had 8 children)......hmmm possibly TMI.....and no amount of keegels can help that unfortunate happenstance!! I love your books and i do hope that you do read any reviews but please know that after reading as many books as I've done so far, if the only complaint that you can get from myself or any other reader then you're doing an excellent job!! However, I would love to become your proof reader as very little gets by myself!!! But I only usually do a review to pick them out of i really do love and respect all the work you've put into all of your wonderful characters and your novels!!! Time for Rylee possibly and i broke my record i have read all 5 in just over the weekend!!! Being an insomniac is great for one thing but not so much on the bank account 😂😂

Awesome as always
Poor Bree you've got to feel sorry for her! I'm saying it now, no way is Crash good enough for our Bree. (He made me so cross)Anyhow. Midlife Zombie Hunter is just as fun, brilliant and twisty turny (if it wasn't a word before, it is now) as the others. It made me laugh and it nearly made me cry. Definitely a must read series.

Entertaining and expected quality
I am really enjoying this series so far but to be honest I getting ready for it to wrap up .... I just want to know what is going on for Bree to find out what her dad was, maybe meet her grandad in more than a dream (why did he "die" & leave her gran), what part of her blood she'll develop and what the big bad spell is. These books are so well written, Bree is such an entertaining character that I haven't got bored and will be buying the next book but I am starting to need a conclusion to the story and come on the will she won't they with Crash needs to be resolved even if she does and then moves on!! I enjoyed this book, I really did but I'm not sure the story moved that much farther forward.

Bree Is Battling Zombies Galore & Heartaching Disappointment!🔪🐈💥💔
A 4.5 Star Read.🌟Midlife Zombie Hunter (The Forty Proof Series, Book #5)What a hot & sexy start to book #5 (which, as always with series, you are able to skip if you don't like steam)!🔥🔥 After excruciating pain Bree is rushed to hospital by her friends. It's there she comes across her first zombie, it's the first of many!😲 She meets a Dr with some very interesting powers during her stay!💀She's hired by a surprising Skew to try & track down & stop those running the spell that's bringing the dead to life. She's shocked & hurt by something she discovers. Bree finally begins to unravel what she is magically.👍This instalment is much more emotive than in previous books. Harm comes deep & personal.😢 I did miss the usual amount of laughs but they just wouldn't have fit with this storyline imo.😕 The writing is fantastic, as usual.🌟Debbie, 1970, UK

3.5 stars
It was a good read but the previous books were more enjoyable. Alan is back with no real added benefit to the story. Brenna is still bumbling around and haphazardly managing to win the day. One plus, she is nearer to discovering all her family bloodlines.

Brilliant - nuff said
Oh my, this series just keeps getting better and better. I laughed out loud in places, cried in others and loved every second of reading this book. The fifth in the series, but feels like it’s just getting going - I mean that in a good way! A very good way. From the first book to now the story and Bree have grown and developed wonderfully. What can I say about Bree? Feels like she’s my BFF, I adore her and feel like I’m living the story along with her. No spoilers, but oh my, a couple of the twists were heartbreaking, but I’ve not given up hope yet! We’ll see I guess . . . Sooo looking forward to the next instalment - have I mentioned I love this series?
