Northwest Territory Eagle River 18' x 10', 8 Person Tent with Quick Camp Insta-Frame

This is my favorite tent so far. Used it for 3 seasons so far. Super spacious for 2 people and 2 dogs. Storage closet pop out is great to put gear and clothes in.My husband can stand up in it and he is 6 ft. tall. We spray all our tents with silicone before using, so in major rainstorms we stay completely dry. 1 person can set it up with some difficulty - with 2 people it goes smoothly and the setup takes about 15 min.We love the way you can open the rain fly and have a porch like view.The downside of the tent is that there is only 1 loop to hang stuff. It needs at least 2 more loops.It also is really only a spring summer tent - the mesh sides let heat out during cold weather,We've actually had tourists from abroad request to take pictures next to the tent.

Was purchased on sale for $99** Pros **Easy to setup, but requires 2 people to make the process easier and faster.Lots of Mesh for Ventilation.Gear Storage areaAble to stand up in tent.Large area, great for a family or group of friends(very comfortable for 4 people)** Cons **Rain fly has zippers on the outside to allow additional ventilation on both sides. However to close during a rainstorm you have to go outside to zip them.The zippers don't lock into position for the rainfly and could unzip a bit during a rainstorm with wind.Does not feel like it could withstand a lot of rainStakes are just a single rod design and does not grab the soil.The entire tent needs to be staked down with 3rd party stakes Aluminum Alloy Triangle Tent Pegs in order to keep the tent from collapsing on its self. The tent is not self standing.The tub design does not come up 2-3 above the sides of the tent - it is sewn together at the edge bottom.The Mesh inside is not tight in all areas and hangs loose.Electrical port is located at the very bottom, allowing bugs or water to come into the tent. Port should be located higher up on the tent(5-6 inches) to prevent bugs or water entering the tent.There are no tie outs for the tent, only the rain fly for high winds/rain down pour.

I love this tent. Spacious inside, plenty of storage space and places to put things.Set it up myself in 15-20 minutes, easy to set up.Took it to White Mountain Nat Forrest last year(2017) and went through hellacious lightning and thunder DOWNPOUR of rain and stayed completely dry throughout the storm(which started at 3:45am) whiuch lasted over an hour.Easy take down and storage.You will want/need to buy atl least another 12, heavy duty, tent stakes because the ones that come with the tent are thin and lesseffective in high winds.
