Q: How much does each weigh?

Are you sure they are only 0.012 lbs? This seems incredibly small (only 5.44 grams), while most of these types of silicone inserts on the market are 100-200 grams each. Are you sure you didn't mean 0.12 lbs?

Q: Yes there is a thin plastic covering the pad, should I removed ?

I did not. From my experience with my grandmothers prosthesis it is the same texture

Hello, if your bra has a pocket it can be place inside the pocket of the bra, otherwise it would rest against the skin.

Q: Are you supposed to remove the plastic covering?

There shouldn't be a plastic covering, however the edging of the pushup pad may give the illusion of a plastic covering. This is part of the mold for the silicone. This was a great question and I hope this helps to clarify!
