Adjustable light intensity
I have one large freshwater fish 20 year survivor from a community tank. Does not like bright lights, so I keep this on a low setting. I have a 20 gallon, and fish can hide out on end with less light. It likes the blue lights.

Reliable little lights
I have a 20 long set up, using a 7.5” and an 11.5” light along the back and one short side (pictured). My boomer aged dad is pretty impressed that they are fully submersible (I am observing safe electrical practices with drip loops). The controls are pretty straightforward and easy to figure out without instructions. The small one was originally in a 10 gallon and wasn’t enough light, not enough output for the tank size, but I liked it well enough that I got a second in a bigger size when I graduated to a larger tank. The timer function is great, with two, the lights are offset to come on at different times and mimic a natural daylight cycle, no smart plug necessary. I do wish they would dim on/ off instead of suddenly turning on/ off, and the plugs are enormous. They take up a lot of space on the power strip and have to be on the ends. IDK enough about electronics to know if I could get a different plug that would still work and take up less space.

Didn't fry my fish
So, we own a goldfish. His name is Charles. We won him at a fair about 8 years ago, and he refuses to die. Now Charles is a part of the family and gets treated like a king. Upgraded his tank and added all sorts of cool stuff for him to stare at. I bought a light for inside the tank that I thought he would enjoy. I should probably read more instructions, because somehow I missed the part where it said it WASNT SUBMERSIBLE. yeah, I did that. Put it in the tank and turned it on. To its credit, it did last a couple of days before conking out. And Charles did not get electrocuted, so that’s a plus. This time, I read the instructions and found a nice, safe, and waterproof light. It’s been in the tank for a couple of months now and it’s still going strong. I can change the color to whatever Charles likes, and it has a timer so he can get some nice fish dreams at night. So, to summarize…reading is good, Charles likes it, and he did not get fried. Buy it, you’ll like it.

Excellent replacement for cheap hood leds
Manufacturers have taken cheap and low quality to new extremes post 2020 world. Bought a 29 gal tank kit from the biggest name in aquariums and the garbage leds went out in only a few months. This light bar was a great replacement option and a fraction of the cost of replacing a lighted hood. Timer feature is awesome, set for 12 on/off and forget about it

It's pretty simple
It works great, but it is kind of bulky for smaller tanks. Also if you mounting it on the back of the tank you have to angle the lights. With the back mounted lighting I don't think you can light up as much of the tank as a top mounted lighting system. Just something to consider if you have a planted aquarium.

looks amazing!
I bought this to replace the lights that shorted out on my 55 gal. way better than i expected for the price. the timer feature works great, i never have to worry about it now. the light automatically turns on and shuts off at the right time. plus, the dimmable light actually provides a wide range of options for the tank. I can choose to turn up the brightness if i want to highlight the fish, or i can turn it down since i don't want to blind them. Also, super cool that it can be blue, really makes the water look cool, but i will say the fish don't look as good under blue light, so i usually use the white feature. suction cups worked surprisingly well, i was able to stick the light to the underside of the hood, and it has not fallen in the week its been up. definitely will be buying more for my other tanks, even though their lights don't need to be replaced.

Poor quality product
Very dim light on all settings. No remote included like advertised. Used for aquarium but not even enough light for a 2 gallon tank.
