Set up was pretty easy, only thing after you attach you phones wifi to it it was supposed to take you to wifi password set up, it did not, checked gateway came up as 10.10.4.1, if you type that in browser it takes you right to it, email delivery delayed due to sync, better to set it up as a email to text message, all phone carriers do this by phone number then the extention, example:[email protected] just take a pic and enter your email address in the phone number spotthe send and there you have it. Text delivers with no delays

Had high hopes but could not connect to wifi. Emailed tech support been waiting nearly a week.

This works GREAT!!!!! Highly recommend for freezers or anything you need power failure notifications on. Customer support was great answering any questions I had. Awesome!!! I can't say it enough. I gave 5 stars even though I received the water alert instead of what I actually ordered (DIY1). Basically the same thing with the water float sensor added. Easy to setup and works perfectly. Just follow the included instructions exactly. I like that it limits texts to once per 5 minutes. Very satisfied. Exactly what I was needing to text me when my inverter powers up.

If used outside in the rain and snow, the screws that hold the case cover on will rust tight, and break off when you need to change the batteries. The cover will then not seal correctly. I contacted the seller to buy just the outside case, but they will not sell it separately. They want to sell you a whole new unit.

I have a driveway alert that sends a chime in the house but doesn't alert me if I'm away from the home. The MySpool DIY solved the issue. Now when someone triggers the driveway alert it sends a relay closure to the MySpool DIY. MySpool sends a text message to let me know so I can view the activity in my cameras. Perfect solution - and their tech support people are top notch. I also have the MySpool power outage devices and they work perfectly to alert me when power is lost to my RV and my freezer.
