Very nicely illustrated
Got it for my daughter. She just started reading on her own. Very nice pix and overall story. Too good. Waiting for a similar book on Egypt and Indus Valley civilization

Entertaining and scientifically accurate
My child really liked this book and I have caught them browsing the images and parts of the text several times after reading it. They were very interested as they had studied the Stone Age in school and the book was useful both to revisit concepts learned and to expand knowledge.I found that the story of the main character is a bit difficult to follow at times due to the pages where facts or extra information is detailed, which distract the reader from the main story. It is also complicated to follow due to the numerous characters in the book (big family!). So it might be worth seeing it less from a narrating point of view and more as a picture book, in a way, although there is a story developing through the pages, about a whole day in the Stone Age from the perspective of a young child of that time. I love that the book is scientifically accurate as it can link with school content and expositions from museums, for example.I am very happy I bought this book and I found the concept really original. Highly recommend if your little one is interested in the Stone Age or if you are looking for a little different (kind of) non-fiction book.

Great book, excellent illustrations
Great book, that is very inviting and accessible for young readers. Rather than giving you facts and names of the different prehistoric ages, the book takes you through what life was (probably) like in prehistoric times and what events and challenges people would face on a daily basis. It really allows children to connect and think about these issues. The softcover book is well written, and should be easy to read for most. Moreover, the illustrations are excellent and funny. The best hating was that it led to little discussion about the topic with our son after ward. With our eight-year old I have recently been guided-reading a book about prehistoric ages. I’m more interested in classical history myself, but this was a good refresher for me as well, and quite fascinating. Our son thought so as well and was able to mention bits of knowledge about it and make connections. Therefore I was glad to find this well illustrated, accessible book for him to go through on his. own.

Brilliant for school project references
Most children will have a Stone Age project at some stage and this is the book to help them through it. A simple story to follow, exciting and interesting with facts well interlaced without them realising it. Beautiful illustrations, likeable characters and lots of fun. I highly recommend it!
