Instructions are in Chinese
Works fine once we figured out how to use it. We had to figure it out mostly on our own because the instructions were written in Chinese. We had to use trial and error to figure out how it works after we got as much as we could from the grainy pictures. If you are familiar with this type of product, you may not need instructions. The part we struggled with is how to insert the stick with the grooves on it.The yarn weaves through the notches on one side only. (Do not wrap it so that there is yarn on front and back.) the stick goes behind the yarn. Make sure every other strand falls into a groove. This makes a tiny gap that the needle can go through. When you twist the stick; the opposite set of strands is extended to feed the needle back through. It seemed obvious once we figured it out, but we kept trying to weave the stick through the yarn.

It's serviceable.
This indeed came in a pack of two. I initially intended to teach someone to weave with it, but as I assembled the first, problems became immediately evident. As I began to snap it in frame, the product was crooked. Thinking that I had somehow put the wrong piece in place, I began to remove it, only for the soft wood to split off and deeply cut into my thumb. The damaged slot is pictured here with string wrapped around it. It turns out that the piece wasn't misplaced- it's just that no one measured or tested it for straightness.Crooked and now damaged loom assembled, I began a piece on it. The heddle bar is also poorly measured and hardly fits. While working the bar, you have to hold it in place, because it doesn't sit flat to the loom or turn evenly. Not only that, but the grooves are deeper on one side than the other, making it much easier to weave from the left than the right. I checked the bar in the other bag, and it, too, was uneven. Both bars had harsh, unsanded grooves, and here's why- the wood is very soft- too soft. The break it with little effort kind of soft. I included a close up image of the heddle bar, which already looks worn, and I haven't finished a piece on it. The loom is entirely made of this soft wood, the tools (comb and shuttle) are made of (seemingly) laser cut balsa wood, about 1/16 inch thick. The whole thing is really cheap overall, and, even though it's marketed for children, a child could easily break it, or cut themselves handling as I had. The soft wood is beginning to loosen on the grooves already in place, and, likely, the whole thing will fall apart in time, or with too rough treatment. On the bright side, splinters would likely dissolve with wood this soft. (Not really, that's for emphasis, please remove splinters immediately). The goal of a product is to be usable. I have given this 2 stars because it is usable, and because it's cheap.. it's hard to start a craft when you're not well off.. but if you want longevity, and less troubleshooting, look elsewhere. A beginner on a budget could use this. Given the lack of sanding in the grooves, and the spacing, it's excellent for practicing tensioning, I suppose. Again... it's finicky, but serviceable. Treat it gently. (Also, all of the directions are in Chinese. You may use my photos to put it together, should you actually purchase them, as the guide photos are quite blurry.) I got this for 14.99 - if it ever goes above that, skip it. Above 20 bucks, you could put towards building a lifelong loom for yourself. -A

cute for kids
My daughter loved this. It was a great first try for her. I even tried it. It's pretty nice for what it is.Yes one could easily "make this themselves" but why? At this price it's sturdy, cut nicely and does the job. The pieces are very precise and well sanded which adds to the ease of use. I suppose you could take several hours and make this for cheaper, but I promise you, it's not worth it.

Extremely limited
These are pretty much junk. Save a lot of stress and buy s bigger one that can actually weave. These are poorly made and won't result in decent work- very widely spaced warp slots with no way to keep yarn in them, "heddle bar" too narrow to produce a workable shed, everything needing a good sanding at the very least, even poorly glued. Go for one of the $15-20 "multi-craft" tapestry looms instead.
