It was easy replacement. Swapped old key and electronics to new fob and it works better than new.

Purchased these to use with factory key. Fit like a glove. Perfect 👌🏽

No transponder chip or circuit board. This is only good if your other key fob went bad if you need a brand new key fob this will not work for you.

This kit is just a shell you will need to remove the guts from the old remotes in to the new remote. That was the plan. Lol I was able to remove the guts from the old remotes and got them to lock and unlocked the car no problem with that part. On the key side you have to remove the chip transponder from the old one and it's small and it's glass. I spent about 30 min trying to carve it out I cracked the chip. Thinking it would work! When I tried starting the car the car went into Safe mode and locked me out of driving. Had to tow it to the dealership. My advice is if your planing on trying this yourself. You can transfer the guts for the doors and take it to a lock smith with your old keys. Let them install a new chip and cut the keys and have them clone the new chip from the old keys. Do not try to remove the old chip it's not coming out without braking. FYI locksmith would charge $130 for a new flip key cut and programmed. Go clone you a new key don't buy this kit

I misunderstood the product information as there were similar products available. There are no electronics inside to make it a functioning remote. Unless you are going to take the insides of the old fob and fit them in here, then this is probably not what you’re looking for. Will be returning this. Not sure how to really rate this, gave 3 stars because if you read carefully, it says that there are no electronics but would be better if this info was more prominent. Also, I would not be able to fit my old fob’s electronics in this one due to the difference in internal construction.

Doesn't work I don't like it

The battery tray in the rear wasn't exactly like my original audi key but I just swapped that piece and everything worked perfect

These will not work with the original factory FOBs that take 1620 batteries.2001 Audi A8L doesn't work.
