I purchased this site to give it a try as it had a lot of features that are only seen on more expensive units that are averaging about $500. I watched a couple of YouTube videos and saw that, yes, it is not as rugged as the ones that cost 2X+ times as much. But, for carry and Range use, the auto-illumination feature is incredibly bright and works even against the white background in the bright afternoon sunlight in Arizona.To protect it from me, bumping into things like going through doorways, I just took a piece of the fuzzy side of a piece of Velcro, cleaned off the top of the sight housing with alcohol, and stuck it on there too deaden some of the impact if I ran into something or if it fell from waist height onto a hard surface. Looking at this one, which is the red dot, I'm now considering buying the green dot 6 MOA to put on one of my range pistols. Having used these RDS sights for the past 4 years, I have found that the quality has increased tremendously, as well as the prices have dropped for very good quality RDS such as this one. In my opinion, this is the most cost-effective and well guaranteed product that is currently on the market of this type. Thank you Crimson Trace for a great product and a reasonable price.

Very happy with my RAD pro. The red version has a smaller MOA compared to the green, which is not an uncommon tradeoff. The small red dot is ideal for range training and lower light use, while the larger green dot is better suited to typical daytime outdoor use. The shape of the enclosure is great in aiding racking of the slide without getting your finger oils or sweat on the glass. I like that the battery loads on top without having to remove the optic from the slide, and the included plastic tool will keep the metal battery cover from getting chewed up by a coin. The ambient light automatic brightness adjustment so far has been great. My sole complaint is that the rubber cover doesn't seem to fit very well. I would like it if it were a closer fit and also included a loop of some sort to tether it physically to my holster, although I'm not sure any company on the market is doing that.

Doesn't turn on with the motion sensor hardly ever. Have to shake it like a baby to get it to turn on. Seems like very nice quality. Dot is a little blown out regardless of brightness, so just wish it was a little sharper. Other than that, easy to install, and I enjoy using it. Great price point for what it is. But I'd save and get a Holosun next time.

Originally bought this for my Prodigy, problem was the plate from Springfield, not allowing enough room for the screws to catch. Put this optic on my Beretta APX A1 and it's like it was made for it!! Perfect fit, secure, fast target acquisition with zero red dot distortion. Better than Holosun in my opinion for less money. I highly recommend it.

Nice sight for my pistol. Fits great and zeroing seems to be little to no issue.

Don’t waste your money. Got it and installed the battery. Used the included plastic tool to tighten down battery cover and it wouldn’t tighten up. Battery cover stripped right out of box. Absolutely do not recommend.

I have this mounted on a S&W 2.0 10MM. While shooting the screws holding the red dot to the slide sheared off and the red dot flew 30 feet landing in stone. Once I found the sight I picked it up and it still worked. After S&W repaired the pistol I mounted the red dot back on the pistol and to my surprise it’s still sighted in. 300 rounds later it still works great and doesn’t move. I highly recommend this sight.
