This is perfect. My husband and I like our food hot. Serving dishes just couldn't keep vegetables, gravy, rice hot throughout a meal. I prepare the food and put it in the tubs. It holds enough for a family of four. It keeps everything piping hot. The highest setting will keep the vegetable steaming.It will be great at a party with hot dips, sloppy joes, tacos, etc.

I bought this and a similar but slightly more expensive unit for a party. The containers were a little too small but I still thought they would work. And they did, too much. When I removed the table cloth the next day to clean up, I found the table cloth had melted to the table. when I removed that, I found it had burnt my table and had been smoldering the table like a log during most of the party. So much for my antique table. Sending it back.

IF YOU WANT TO KEEP YOUR CHEESE, CHOCOLATE OR ROTEL HOT FOR A GREAT LENGTH OF TIME, YOU ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO PURCHASE THIS ITEM!!!!! I'VE USED IT EVERYDAY UPON RECEIVING IT FOR NACHO CHEESE. ONCE YOU HAVE REACHED TEMP. YOU CAN ADJUST TEMP WITH CONTROL BUTTON.
