Pretty Awesome!
I received this item yesterday (05/03/25) and installed it successfully a few hours ago. First of all, the packaging is protective, was well thought out, not too much useless info. I re-watched the installation video again. All pretty straight forward. The skill level required is easy to moderate. If you are the type of person who struggles with a screwdriver, don't bother trying to install this on your own. The supplied piggyback wire was easy to install, took a minute or less, attach the power to the new part and it's ready to re-install. Make sure that the old housing matches the new one, move the orange clips over from the old housing and pay attention to the small plastic protrusions in both housings and be sure they match, same angles, same placements and such. I have to say the only frustrating part was getting all the wires tucked in and out of the way of the four mounting connections. That alone prolly had me cursing for about 15 minutes then BOOM it all just slid into place, and it locked into position. don't give up and don't force anything. Upload the program on your phone but you don't have to. You can just remove the card and stick it into your laptop and then upload 'Potplayer' onto your laptop. Format the Micro SDS using either the program installed in your phone or you can do it on your laptop. I can't say the phone app is all that easy. Connecting it with the camera feed requires some fiddling but I'll figure it out. Don't upgrade the card before the set up. Get it going with what's supplied, format the card and when it's all complete, put in a bigger card if you feel the need to. Picture is amazingly clear. Overall, I'm very happy with the quality and that it's in and complete.

Best Dash Cam for Tacoma 2019! Love it, but the app can use some work.
Love this dash cam! It looks like it was already part of the truck (2019 tacoma). It records really well, even at night. I think it is fairly easy to use and easy to install. I wish the app was a bit more responsive but not bad. I am currently using the SD card it comes with and has been great! You can download the videos, but only while the car is on for the device to get power.

Looks great and easy installation.
Ease of install except the rear camera. I had to run the cable under the panels and rear camera was mounted in the glass.

Good video
Camera is awesome. I have pulled many videos from my travels. Installs easily and form fit into the truck. There is a blinking light to show its working that is a bit bright at night. Usually it just over rights the oldest video. I have had to log in a couple times and format the drive because it stopped looping.

Mounting Issues
The camera quality is great and fairly easy to install. However, it started falling off after a few months. It is super inconvenient to constantly try to push it back into the spot for it to continue falling especially while I’m driving.

Clear pictures
Has great visibility and mounted fast - it’s a nice camera for my commute to work worth the price.

Warning if you are a Ham Radio operator...
Update: I demoted this to one star. The radio interference is just to much, and it seems to vary depending on how bright the image is to the camera. Shame - it really is a nice unit but if you operate a radio anywhere near the 2M bands, you are in trouble both with increased background noise and spikes throughout the range of the radio band. The installation of the head unit was a breeze. As others have said here, the wire for the rear camera is WAY too long and forced me to try and cram the extra wire into the head liner - which almost works. The image looks very nice and after only a couple of days I was able to record an accident and forwarded the video to the affected parties.BUT if you are a ham radio operator and have a mobile unit, this unit will interfere with frequencies in the 2 meter band (probably the most popular band in mobile radio). There are peaks that are uneven, so you really have to experiment to see if you are affected - especially in frequencies with no tone squelch. I'm using an FTM-500 (no slouch of a radio) and can clearly see these peaks in the scope. It is a LOT worse in an RF noisy area (aka cities).I honestly don't see how this passed FCC review with the kind of interference I'm getting. It has prevented me from using a couple of frequencies that are local to me, and I cannot scan the 2 meter band at all. Otherwise, the Fitcamx is a great tool that looks OEM. But it has really interfered with my mobile radio capabilities. If you are not a ham radio operator, you will probably never see this issue. But if you are, you may want to consider this first.
