50 Nifty Thrifty Upcycled Fashions: Sew Something from Nothing Paperback – October 15, 2015

Aside from the flowers and other embellishments, I doubt I'll be making any of the specific projects in here. However, I felt like it provided great inspiration for what I can do to make some of my own projects.

I did not really like the projects in the book. I would not wear or buy them. Not my style. Too much use of pantyhose for me. I wanted a book more to teach attractive stitching techniques to combine pieces and repair clothing. This is good if you want to make fabric flowers.

I don't even have a quarter of the stuff to embellish/sew/jooz up old clothes to look like hers, but I really do love some of the styles in this book. It's lagenlook/boho/hippy styling is not for everyone, but it's totally me. Only thing is, I'm going to have to go out and buy what I need which is sort of beside the whole point of the book! I think it's the best of its genre - the clothes might be a bit 'out there' but they're not downright "fugly" like some of the other books I've seen (and unfortunately) also bought.

I live the ideas used in this book. Have grown up reusing things but not to the extent shown here. Many great ideas

I was hoping for something more than ripped, frayed edges and notion vomiting. There were 3-4 pieces that looked appropriately wearable. The rest is just garbage.

It’s an idea book, not a ‘how to’ book. Unless you already know a bit more than the basics of sewing, this book will be frustrating.

I'm glad I bought this, despite the negative reviews I found the book full of ideas and things that could be adapted and altered. A good purchase

I was very disappointed with this book, the only things I am interested in making are the 3 dresses shown on the cover, I had hoped there would be more projects of this quality, but unfortunately, there are not.

The clothes are awful, lots of raw edges, they wouldn't stand a chance in the washing machine. The instructions are a bit vague without diagrams. Sort of looks like some primary school children have been let loose.
