Lightweight and POWERFUL...
It should be noted that I ordered the D-14 which is LESS than 10 lbs and delivers a whopping 1400 watts (RMS) at 8ohms. (The non D rated amps are much heavier.) This all started when our small band began booking gigs OUTside where much more power is needed. We first purchased a pair of Rockville RSG 15" PA speakers (excellent also) and I didn't feel my Crown power amp was going to give us enough punch.Adding the D-14 with the RSG 15s has given us a very impressive sound system in a lightweight package. You cannot go wrong with this system and can be had at a much lower investment than a Crown, JBL, Yamaha, or QSC system. (One note though: In a studio application, you may find the cooling fan a bit loud for the environment. In a live venue, it's just fine.) HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Not so Good
for me this amp is not ok. there is loud electronic noise and pretty much ruined my first gig. i had brought back home and finally set it up to troubleshoot any ground/wire issues. i didnt even start to add or remove anything, heard a pop, whine and one channel is fryed, does not work anymore. i reinstalled my old amp. now im about 40 days after purchase and im not sure if anything will be done. we will see, i just want my money back. lets see how thi goes

Good little amp
Just like the other reviews, it does the job and so far so good...also it is like the bench test. It starts to get some distortion above 600 watts without clip light. It's very quiet for that much output. I have some DIY speakers with 2 12's Pro Audio woofers a DS 18 car midrange, polk and scanspeak tweeter, but I would not put that amp on my VMPS ribbon speakers. It didn't even care when I passive sub on it !

Pretty close to spec at 8Ohm output but 4Ohm is far below rated output
We measured this on an Audio Precision 555 into 8 ohms. Clipping with one channel driven occurred at 612W, a bit short of spec but hard to complain for the price. Power in BTL mode at 8 ohms was an astounding 1800W at 1KHz, near the rated 2000W. At 40Hz output was closer to 1500W. 20Hz went into limiting/protection at around 1KW, so we will use a high-pass filter at 30Hz.Unfortunately, performance into 4Ohms was nowhere near close to rated specs, the limiter kicked in with both channels driven at just 700W, barely any more output than 8Ohms, and the BTL mode at 4Ohms maxed out at 1KW, so it's clear why they don't publish a bridged 4Ohm spec. For our application, we use 8Ohm drivers so this is a good fit, though it is worth noting that doing full power testing at 20Hz caused the amp to go into protection below 1KW in bridged mode.In addition, as you can see in the measurements, using the LPF in bridged mode did nothing to increase power but it did increase distortion in the sub band, so ideally use an external crossover. The "Peak" output numbers are a fiction as the amp immediately went into limiting at the peak power, you can see that in a few of the measurements where the traces actually double-back after clipping.Another positive thing was being able to call for tech support and to actually speak with someone. All in all, this is a great unit for a sub or for an 8Ohm speaker, but it falls short on promise for 4ohms.

Do not buy this crap!!!
Bought this Amplifier to power 2 18" Woofers rated 2000W each thinking well it's rated at 7000W so it should be more than enough only to have this thing crap out on the first gig i did using it, left me embarrassed as i had to complete the gig without any Bass as it didn't show any sign of power after only 2hrs of use......i which i could rate this as zero stars, worst piece of equipment i've purchased in a while, save your cash and buy a Crown,Qsc or Wasi Amplifier.

Very clean sound...but
The sound quality is good. I do think the wattage is overstated though..and have been seeing this allot with this company. But for the price and product, I'd still recommend and I'm planning on buying a few more.
