There are many more smart devices out there but are very expensive. I was looking for a device with all the functionalities but definitely which should cost less. After almost a month's research I decided to give a try to this device. Not only my research but customer review on amazon.com also guided in a right direction. The device does exactly what is required and desired.Initially I faced some issues with installation but the prompt and efficient customer service helped me to make things easy.Once the app is installed, everything is self-explanatory from there on. One can access to live video view, historical events stored to SD card (supplied along with the device), communication on both sides so that you can talk to a person who pushes the doorbell button, motion detection is an added security feature which sends alert to the mobile phone, you can prerecord a message to have an easy offline communication with a person who pushes the button. The device comes along with chime which is easy to install and uses USB power. In short, it’s a feature loaded and easy to install device. The battery lasts approx 3 to 4 weeks as compared to 2 months which the supplier claims. May be they have to work more on that. But 3 to 4 weeks is more than enough for me.All in all, it’s a great device with value for money and a great customer support.

I bought this based on some of the other Amazon reviews I read about it. Manufacturer states that expected battery life is from 2 to 5 months and while some of the reviews said this was not achievable, I didn't expect to have to be recharging on a weekly basis as I've found that I need to do. Motion detection is pretty slow and both video and audio have significant lag. Video is clear and sharp enough to identify people. If it wasn't such a pain in the bum to return it, I would have done so in the first week. Having said all that, I've persisted with it and found that it does suit the purpose that I bought it for at about half to a third of the price that a high end unit would have cost me. I'm seriously considering hard wiring power to it and once I've done that I imagine I'll be much happier with it. If I'd have known it's significant shortcomings beforehand though, I would never have purchased it in the first place

Old bell didn't have a chime, this one works well and ding dongs on the phone as well. leaves annoying notifications that won't go away, has a delay but faster than the old one. For the price really good, just a pity about the notifications!

The Zumimall video doorbell has been installed in my front undercover porch set well back from the road over 6 weeks ago. It was connected initially with the supplied batteries and later hardwired by a 12v DC to mains power (minus the batteries). A licensed electrician did the 12v DC mains power installation. Powered by the batteries resulted in a rapid drop of power in a short time. Three weeks later when the batteries were swapped for 12v DC mains power the battery strength was reading about 42%. The settings were activated to minimise battery power usage. Wi fi is reading 100% so no poor connection. I doubt that the advertised claim of battery power lasting several months is correct based on my experience. The video doorbell's primary purpose is not for CCTV purposes but rather as a doorbell in my experience. In my opinion this product doesn't do either too well. The delivery driver is in his vehicle driving off when I'm notified. The time lag is a problem and hopefully a firmware update will resolve it And for some reason the video function disconnects late in the night reading 'off' even if the app is running in the background. During daylight hours the video is constantly disconnecting and reconnecting. The FAQs don't really help to resolve the issue. The advantages of this video doorbell are the SD card facility, good night vision and not having to pay a monthly subscription. Given the issues raised, I would look elsewhere for a video doorbell.

I purchased this doorbell as it was a Amazon recommended, however I’m not satisfied with the product. The door is constantly tell me I have someone at the door and I can see there is no one there plus when I do have someone ring the doorbell the delay to advise me via my phone is so delayed that the person has already walked away. I’ve tried playing with the settings in the app with no resolution. Also due to the fact that I am constantly getting notifications have there is someone at the door, the battery only lasts a week so I’m constantly charging it.
