Wider Path Games Adventure Builder, A Family Roleplaying Game (Mom's Choice Award Winner)

Short version, this is a great family friendly introduction to RPGs, with many possibilities and opportunities for creative play! We love it!My wife and I play D&D and our boys (3 and 6) frequently ask if they can play, so we bought this as a child friendly alternative. The kids love playing and ask to play it every weekend thus far! We've been on three "adventures" now, and the game mechanics are simple enough for the boys to pick up, while providing plenty of room for imaginative play. The hard copies of creature cards, puzzles, etc. help my young ones really get into the world of the game. I've marveled at the creative ways my kids have thought of to get through some of the cards, things I never would have considered!I was concerned it might be hard to be the "Guide" (DM) in this game as I had never done it before, but it is surprisingly simple and fun. The way it is setup leaves it open to endless possibilities and makes it easy to create adventures outside of the canned book examples.The time an adventure takes is well balanced too, I think our longest adventure was an hour. This keeps our children's attention and provides easy stopping points between sessions. We've had a couple "shopping" sessions too where the boys explore the town of Florea, play games, and get gear for their characters, and they've had as much fun doing that as the adventures themselves.In summary, a great introductory RPG for the whole family with plenty of possibilities!

I bought this game for my nieces and nephews and we loved it! The graphics were so vivid and had the kids excited before we even dove in.It was easy for me to understand, as I am not too familiar with role playing games which was one thing I was worried about. It was so fun and amazing to watch the creativity of the kids and the things they would come up with to overcome different challenges and the non-violent aspect of it was great.The kids are so excited to play again and go on another adventure and grow their characters.Even when we aren't playing they are looking through the book and talking about all the different items and pets they want to save their coins to get.Amazing experience, amazing game, HIGHLY recommend!

Wonderful game for young kids. My 5 year old loves it and we love playing it with him. Really encourages creativity.

My five year old loved starport and so we picked this up! He really enjoys the cards and setting them out have really helped him organize his stories as he has started to become the storyteller and run the npcs. I feel as if the structure of adventure builder has also really helped to set our games to be about an hour as well. Love the components and the artwork is great. If I were to alter anything it may be for the cards to have less text on them, I feel like that would help my son lead a game since he is an early reader. Really love this company. Starport and adventure builder have really taken my son into the world of TTRPGs

The absolute perfect introduction to tabletop RPGs. My 1st grade daughter and wife who had no prior experience were able to dive in easily and really enjoyed the adventures. I purchased real coins from amazon to make the reward system more immersive but other than that it has everything we needed. I had a blast as the guide/GM getting to put my own creative twists on things as well, definitely recommend this to any families who want a casual family activity that stimulates imagination and doesn't require screen time!

Much better quality than I expected. All game components are well made, colorful and the kids are having a ball!There's a lot to it, so they don't get bored. It's appropriate for a variety of ages. The younger ones (5ish )can't wait for the older ones (11ish) or an adult lead the adventures!

Very fun and exciting roleplaying game suited for younger kids. It allows them to be creative in their own ways and gives them a interactive approach to problem solving!
