These work great once you get them installed
I planned on installing these through the valve stem. I read many reviews and probably watched some videos, so I knew what to expect. I got about half of one 6 oz. bag into the tire and just couldn't get any more to go in. Eventually, I discovered that a very large bead was jammed down in the valve stem. I punched it through with a blunt wire nail. Before resuming the installation, I strained the remaining beads in a wire mesh kitchen strainer. About two dozen beads would not go through. I found that the process was still very slow. I noticed that the supplied tubing was not fitting tightly around the valve stem, so I tried smaller tubing, but that only seemed to jam constantly. I found some medium tubing the fit snugly over the valve stem and inside of the supplied tubing. The end of the medium tubing inside of the supplied tubing created a slight restriction that caused a measured portion of beads to get past. These were easily blown into the tire through the valve stem with hardly any jamming. If the beads did jam, it was easy to suck them back into the bottle and resume the installation. The first installation was finished quickly although the entire process took nearly 90 minutes. With another 6 oz. bag of strained beads (another two dozen didn't pass) and the modified installation tubing, the second installation was completed in about 10 minutes. I have the four rear tires to do on my camper. Unlike the front tires, these will have to come off to reach the valve stems, so it's a much bigger job. After all of the installation effort, the balancing beads worked incredibly well. I had removed 9 oz. of wheel weights from one tire and 7 oz. from the other. The recommended amount for each tire was just 4 oz. but after speaking to a Counteract technician, he recommended adding an additional 2 oz. to each tire. I think that advice was spot on. I would recommend these balancing beads for all car, truck, or camper tires.

Good at balancing tires, but tricky to install.
Summary - They were tricky to put in through the valvestem, but my initial impression is that the truck rides smoother.Details...I bought the 12oz x 4 kit which comes with 4 new valve stem cores, 4 caps, a screwdriver with decoring end, and the bottle to put the beads in via the valvestem. The kit was very complete, and good quality.I noticed my tires were a little shaky at highway speeds of 75-80mph. I have Michelin LTX AT2s and they weigh 57lbs each according to Michelin (285/70R17 Michelin LTX AT2 121/118R D). The Counteract guide says 1oz per 13lbs of tire weight, so that should mean I need about 4.4oz. I wasn't diligent about the exact weight of beads I put in each tire. I just ballparked it by roughly splitting each 12oz bag per tire, so I'd say I put 5-7oz depending on the tire.I saw some YouTube videos of people airing down their tires, hooking the bottle/tube up to the valvestem once it was flat, and then jacking up the truck which sucks the beads in quickly. That did NOT work.I also read that someone used vibration to shake the beads in faster, so I rigged up my drill with an offset weight which vibrated pretty good. That seemed to work okay, but I had to hold it just right to get it to work, and then when I stopped it was a beast to get it going again. I had to remove the bottle/tube and let the truck down to blow out the beads which were clogged up in there at one point. What I found worked best for me was to put a jack under the frame and then deflate the tire so it wouldn't fall down very far. I didn't worry about the position of the valve stem (up/down/side). Then I hooked the bottle/tube up and just squeezed the bottle to shoot the beads in a little at a time. It was more effective to do this without filling the tube up completely. Holding the tube horizontal and filling the beads along the bottom allowed a puff of beads to go in without clogging. If it did clog the suction of the bottle would suck them back out and they would go in on the next squeeze. This took about 5-10min per tire which was much quicker than the vibration method. It was very humid when I did this, so that could play a role in this too.I took the truck for a drive, and it definitely rode smoother with the beads than before. I did NOT remove the existing wheel weights. I figured if it rode rough I could remove the weights and try again. I didn't have to do that though.I am going to put the rest of my beads in my trailer tires now. I won't have the clog free valve stem cores on those though. We'll see how it goes.

What a wonderful product!
We needed to balance the tires of my 1974 VW Beetle (Bug). These worked so well, and were easy to use.

Beyond Expectations
I installed 40 in tires, and though they were balanced by the shop I bought them at, I still had hopping at certain speeds. I ordered the 16 oz bags because the site suggested 12+ oz for my tire size. I also had other shakes, wobbles and shimmies, but there were still parts I had not upgraded. I finally found time in my schedule to get to a shop to see if they could work with 40's. I had to wait 2 hours, but it was done. I immediately felt a tremendous difference. I had heard that the beads were not really effective until about 45 mph. I feel a difference as low as 30 mph. Is it because they are such large tires so the outside spins faster? Maybe, but it works. I quickly figured out that ALL of the vibrations, shakes, wobbles, and shimmies seemed to be all because of the wheels not being balanced. I have read dozens of negative results, lots of positive results, and watched just as many reviews. I have favorite reviewers who refuse to use beads in their 40's. I was just so happy that the beads worked for me. My guess for all of the negatives have to do with not having enough beads for the tire size. I'll be ordering more beads as backups without hesitation.
