Q: What makes them "cedar fresh". Is there some element of cedar on the inserted part of shaper?

I think that is just the brand because there is definitely no cedar - all plastic. But they are still pretty nice shapers IMHO. I like that they can be stored flat.

Q: how will these work with over the knee boots? i have boots that are 24" high

Thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately, you wouldn't be able to hang them. The boot shaper is only 15.75 H and with the hook part it's 17.2 H. It would fit in your boot but it's not going to raise all the way to the top of the boot so you'd have about 7-8 inches that won't have the boot shaper pressed against. We hope that helps. Yes, i got two, and you can adjust the length according to the boot height. I might order more.

Q: How to I adjust or cut them for my shorter boots? I ruined a pair trying to separate them at the perforation and I am quite upset.?

I also ruined one by trying to separat it at the perforation. I ended up cutting them with scissors, following the perforation.
