Vertical Cable Cat6, UTP, Gel Filled (Flooded Core), Direct Burial, 1000ft, Black, Bulk Ethernet Cable

This is a good cable relative to others, it is compacted and flexible. The only thing it needs is a stronger shield and cover, which is always bad in all eathernet cables but it is the best cable I found till now.

Shipped quickly. Excellent quality cable. Reasonable price enabled us to run a spare cable in the installation, just in case. This was a 300' run, with 240' buried in PVC pipe. Basic tests showed only 2‰ to 3% degradation over the 300' cable run. This was my first use of "flooded" cable and, other than keeping a clean rag or paper towel handy to wipe the goo off your hands, was easy to use and punch down to the jacks. I didn't use any RJ45 plugs so can't comment on their installation.

Ran 100Mbps just fine.

I expected this cable to carry signal further than CAT5; it did not, (only 300 feet maximum before complete signal loss). same as CAT5. It did carry the POE well over 500 feet which was the major reason I purchased it. Probably wouldn't buy it again. It is NOT copper clad aluminum wire so, (unless they've discovered a way to mix aluminum and copper to the center to appear as solid copper), it is solid core copper as advertised.

Finally got a chance to use this cable. Tough jacked as you would expect. Putting connectors on is not any different that that of standard cable. You just need to wipe the gel off of the conductors and use needlenose pliers to pull the conductors through the connector organizer.
