I give 5 stars for the product and 0 stars for Samsung service.Product: product is good, not very noisy, washes and rinses the clothes to satisfaction. It’s a basic washing machine that does the job well. No fancy modes but who uses those fancy modes anyway. I will update about the product after a few months of use if I come across anything that will be useful to other buyers.Installation: terrible experience because it’s been a week and nobody from Samsung has come to install the washing machine. The service guy calls me everyday and first thing he asks is if I want to buy a stand for the fridge and washing machine I bought. When I replied that I don’t need any stands, and just ask him to come install, he doesn’t turn up. This has happened for a week now.Self-Installation: the washing machine is heavy (50+kg) which has to be tilted, power cord, water inlet and drain pipes which are very very short in length. I’m a mechanical engineer and it was quite a task for me to install it myself after spending half a day. The shopping bolts are tight and you need proper tools and a good muscle to work on it. I have installed everything and everything works for now, but lacks the professional touch which a plumber/technician would bring. Bottom line, unlike fridge installation, washing machine installation is not childplay and needs professional help. If you do not think you can fix it yourself, DO NOT buy from amazon, go to a local retailer instead who will deliver and fix the machine for you.Imagine the frustration. A new washing machine sitting in its box for a week. A Samsung service guy who calls everyday just to sell his stands and stabilisers and doesn’t turn up when he knows that I won’t be buying it. Such people must be fired from their jobs and they spoil the reputation of good companies like Samsung. I am more than willing to share the details of this service person.Now you may ask, what has amazon got to do in this Samsung problem? The answer is, they take no accountability to install unlike a local retailer. Such machines are not delivered just because the boxes reach your homes. Installation is a big element which one must not ignore. If I go to amazon, they say their job is over and Samsung doesn’t know that they have such conmen as their service technicians. So sufferers are us, customers.
