Stared out well but now can't use ethernet port, bought this as i thought being expensive would last but don't be fooled.

I was a little put off by the obvious slight misalignment of the sockets with the case (see the picture), however, that doesn't seem to interfere with the operation of the sockets.I have seen other comments about the audio socket being noisy, but I didn't find that: It was clear and crisp and although I was expecting an obvious volume drop compared to plugging audio directly to the PC, I really couldn't detect that.The Ethernet port worked absolutely fine with no extra data drop outs compared to a direct connection.I could only look at the HDMI out via an HDMI to DVI cable (I have an old monitor!), but it looked fine, with no obvious artifacts or ghosting.This unit feels robust and nothing rattles when I shake it. It's going to take up residence in my travel bag as a useful docking station for when I'm on the road.

I ordered this hub because I have read about similar devices that would allow me to connect a MacBook Pro to a high-end Dell monitor.This device successfully:🔌 Charged three low-voltage USB-C devices in parallel when the USB-C cord attached to the hub was plugged in to an outlet🖥 Served as a hub connecting a Dell PC to the Dell monitor, with the USB-C cord plugged into the PC and an HDMI cable between the hub and the monitorHowever, the hub did not:💻 Connect the MacBook Pro to the Dell monitor configured with an HDMI cable between the hub and the MacBook, and a USB-C cable between the hub and the monitor. This MacBook Pro model has 2 Thunderbolt ports but no USB-C port.I carefully reviewed the instructions provided in the box and researched everything I could find online. It’s possible that a different cable, adaptor, or configuration might allow me to connect the MacBook Pro to the Dell monitor, but I have yet to accomplish that goal. If I can find a solution, I will update the review.*****
