The poetry here is not so poetic that you can’t get it, it is gritty, real, touching imagery, helpful expressions. And the writing prompts are powerful if exercised. Highly recommend for hurting hearts.

I bought this book after reading some of Liz Newman’s work on social media. I lost my mum some months ago and I was looking for some comforting words to help me through the difficult days.It’s a very good book and what I have been reading has certainly helped me.

This collection of poems reminds us that we are not alone in our grief, even when it feels like we are sailing through an immense sea of sadness.I, personally, have found so much comfort in Liz's beautiful poems. A gentle reminder that "grief has no timeline. It is not linear." Everyone's grief journey is different, as we each learn to navigate through life after loss.
