IF YOU NEED A MANOEUVRING DESK, THIS IS THE BEST.
I suffer from MS in my legs and am virtually housebound. My wife (79) and I (82) assembled the desk in about 2 & a half hours. My wife did most of the work and I interpreted the excellent “user’s manual”. The desk is strongly constructed, easy to move, and straightforward to assemble. But, because there’s rather a large clearance below the desk, if I eat a snack at the desk whilst in my armchair, the desk top is close to my chin! I have asked the makers for a replacement flat headed screw or similar to replace the finger screw to allow the desk to clear the arm of my adjustable chair. I hope that they’ll grant my request! See below for the answer.Back to the desk! The top of the desk, made of something the makers call thickened particleboard, has a hard surface, which would, I suspect, withstand knocks quite well. It can certainly be wiped clean easily, after I've made it sticky after eating the odd meal off it! The desk benefits from having a simple uncluttered design and is all the more effective for being so. It has what the makers call a pen holder, which can be used as a cup holder. This can, of course, also be used for keeping any smallish items in. The option of having one section of this desk able to be elevated to a variety of angles also is very helpful. For my purpose it’s an excellent buy; my advice is to define your basic needs first, then ensure that what you select is, at least, as well made as this is! Compare it with other items in this category and if you want a desk you can move about, this one, with its castors, is a serious contender! The first answer to my question earlier was to ask me if I could go out to the local hardware shop, get the screws I needed, and carry out my necessary adaptation! This advice was retracted in a second email as the makers insisted that the desk was designed like it was and any changes by purchasers would nullify the warranty! My feeling is that one could substitute the “knobs” with simple bolts and even soft washers if needed, then tightened with a Philips spanner, if one knew the correct size and type of bolt, without nullifying the warranty. This would increase the clearance under the desk quite fully. I await the next response to my third email, which asks for these details! The factory went on holiday for a few days over our early May holiday. When they got back they gave me an approximate diameter for the bolts. I used this and discovered, when I obtained bolts via Amazon, that their guess was under sized and I'm having a second go! I'll post the result in a further amendment. All I can say is that I reckon I could improve the design from the Usrer's viewpoint - not a surprise as I suspect potential users were not invited to help with the design process!

Mini Office
Bought this for my Mum as she does a lot of writing and likes a few items around her. This item did the job brilliantly and with her slight disabilityMum was able to manoeuvre the desk around.Easier to assembly from instructions given. Desk is quite solidly build.Definitely recommended.

Well designed product
Assembly is not difficult but needs care and best with 2 people. The mechanism for lowering the moveable section of the desk is tricky to learn how to do it. The locking tabs on the castors are easily dislodged.
