Essentials of Healthcare Compliance (FBLA - All)

This book is required for one of my online classes, but overall is very easy to read and understand. I have enjoyed reading the first couple of chapters. The only downside is that each chapter has practice multiple choice/fill in the blank style questions, but there are no answers in the back to see if you got them right. If unsure about a question, there is no way to check for an answer or rationale.

I rented this book and although it was a little more worn than I thought it would be, the book content was interesting and not dry at all. I ended up with a 99.33% as my final grade in the class and it was helpful to have an interesting book on such a dry subject.

The answer key should be provided.

Not a bad review, if a little rudimentary. BUT- if you are buying this to use as a study guide for a certification exam, be aware that this is part of some sort of course curriculum, and that the very useful multiple choice questions at the end of each chapter DO NOT COME WITH AN ANSWER KEY! Apparently you can only get those if you are a teacher recognized by the publisher. Their customer service department could not have been more clueless or less helpful about itSo- am going to return the darn book.

Although the content of this book is easily understood and interesting, my complaint is with the manufacturing of the book itself. I bought it new, and when I removed the out wrapping to open the book, all the pages were glued together along the middle section. Each page I freed from the glue ripped a little. Very poor quality.

I purchased this book to help me better understand compliance as it pertains to health care as this is a new field I am exploring.
