I just upgraded to an iPhone 8 from a 6, so of COURSE I was excited to take advantage of the wireless charging for my night stand! I ordered this before my phone arrived so I would be all ready to go. Here's what I love about it:DESIGN: This is very well designed in a lot of ways. It's very light weight (which for me means easier to travel with) but isn't flimsy. The base is sturdy and it's not going to tip over, even if you fumble around reaching for your phone in the dark. I love that you can charge your phone either vertically or horizontally with this charger and I feel like the angle of this charger stand is also perfect for rolling over in the night or early morning to check the time, turn off an alarm, see what call is coming through etc. without having to pick up my phone. It's also very sleek and sexy looking. I'm all about simplicity and things not being over designed and this definitely fits the bill.EASY: It literally doesn't get any easier in terms of using something right out of the box. You plug it in, set your phone on it and it charges. The end.NO CASE/MAGNETIC MOUNT INTERFERENCE: It was important to me to find a charger that would charge through a clear case (in my case the Spigen Ultra Hybrid Crystal Clear case) and with a magnetic plate attached to the back of the case (for me, a Scosche brand magic mount medium size plate affixed to the bottom of the of case for use in my car - see pics). The phone has no problem charging rapidly on this stand even with all that stuff on the back.NO LIGHT IN MY FACE AT NIGHT: This is another huge deal for me. I'm a light sleeper and can't sleep with lights near my face at night. I love that a soft pulsing greenish blue glowing bar shows up when you put your phone on it to show you its charging and 10 seconds later it turns off. PERFECT!!!You should be aware (and it is clearly stated in the description) that fast charging is only available for certain devices (not an iPhone). I was aware of that going in, but make sure you read carefully! There are a lot of options out there when it comes to wireless charging but this one checked all the boxes for me (including price point) and I'm very happy that I bought it! And yes, I bought it and paid full price. I did NOT receive this for free or at a discount. Hope this helps!

perfect, quick charges,cheap, wide connection area and generally no problems what so ever, i bought this along with one of the disk type ones and this is by far and away much much better and quicker to use all around, ended up ordering 4 more of these to put throug-out my house and took the cheesy disk thing to work.having the charger be in a stand like this instead of a disk makes it so much quicker and easier to get it aligned and charging properly and i also found that it's nice for a desktop environment because you can read the notifications and see who is calling without ever having to touch your phone and break the connection.....not that is an issue in the first place, but nice regardless.this charger is the sweet spot,it does everything you could ask of it for a great price, i see no need to spend any more or look anywhere else unless it can be done just as well and for cheaper....the one thing only is you have to make sure that your case isn't too thick otherwise you won't get the connection you need, i ended up having to buy a new case for my phone to get these to work, and honestly the case i had was one of those credit card wallet cases with the slide compartment in the back of it so it was exceptionally thick, i am now using a standard case from speck that are commonly seen in places like best buy and fred myers....where i got mine for dirt cheap.... so really that's your only consideration and possible hang up here, and honestly if i have to decide between preserving my USB port and having the convenience of easy connections vs having some huge case thinking it'll protect my phone more than a normal case would, i'd have to go with saving my charging port, because honestly over the last decade that it always the part of my phones that break first and I've never had a broken phone that was in a case anyways, regardless of how beefy it is..or not...plus your pocket or purse will thank you for not trying to shoe horn that beast in there anyways, lol.

kdjGiving it 3 stars for the following reason,I have an S8+ with the otterbox case, after reading other users reviews, some could use a case, some couldn't, I am one if those "couldn't" people. When I took my phone out of the case, it charged, but not "fast charge," which I dive into further down.I am also docking it a star because of the lack of a "power adapter." I got the charger on sale for 20 bucks, so not having an adapter was fine, but if I had paid 60 for it, I would expect an adapter, especially if it has to be a special version, "This fast charger requires a QC 2.0/3.0 adapter as its power source." taken from Pleson's response to a customer.The last pick I have is that the base uses a microUSB port, whereas my S8+ uses a Type C, to me this seems like false advertising and perhaps could be why my phone wont fast charge, using an outdated charging pad with my new tech phone, MicroUSB to Type C. There are different revisions to the Type C, some can handle the increased power being used, some fail at that after a few charges, so this tells me that MicroUSB wont handle the amount of power needed to fast charge a device like mine.All in all, it might work for you, might not, one for sure way is to take your phone out of the case, if your phone use Type C connection, I would look elsewhere, I'll be trying the Samsung pad that has the Type C and I am returning this device

This works better than the Samsung OEM fast charger, two of my Samsung chargers have failed. I have three Plesons, this upright one, and two flat circular ones. They work great, They are much less expensive than the Samsungs, too. Highly recommended. I use with a Galaxy S7, they are supposed to work well with other compatible phones, but I have only tried with this phone.
