Truly excellent.
If you like ZZ top you will like this. Recorded to be used as the sound track for a film about the band it was recorded only using the three Origional members of the band and only using guitar, bass and drums. There is no multitrack recording and is as the CD is called RAW. Had one been present at early ZZTop gigs then I believe it would have sounded like this. Play it loud with the bass wound up and enjoy. My neighbours like it so much they bang on the wall!!

Definitive ZZ Top in concert
It really is raw , so much better than studio albums. Some might question the sound quality but really , who cares. It gruff , rough and just a joy ..love it

a fitting tribute to Dusty...
I first became aware of ZZ Top in the ealy 80's and bought Eliminater the day it was released,Subsequently got to see them at the Glasgow Apollo on that tour, what a gig 3 top drawer musicians at the top of their game, who could ever forget Gibbons and Hill doing their little dance routine during 'Manic Mechanic' whilst inside their laser cage or frightening the entire crowd with the roadie 'falling from the light during the encode which naturally turned out to be a dummy. The point im making ZZ Top were/are a super live band .For me the 2 official releases Live In Vegas/Greatest Hits Live Around The World have absolutely failed to capture that, this release however nails it perfectly. The band playin raw with no gimmics and its superb, every album from the debut thru to eliminater covered( with the exception, strangely of 1976's Tejas album),Personally i would have swopped out 'Legs' for 'Arrested while Drivin Blind'. Still its a great release.Marvel at the likes of 'Brown Sugar and 'Just Got Paid' from the early days ,enjoy a stripped back 'Gimme All Your Lovin and smile heartily at 'Tube Snake Boogie' marvelous stuff as i said its a fitting tribute to Dusty Hill.
