LOVE LOVE LOVE these blinds!! EASY TO INSTALL!
I am renting, so I didn’t want to invest in custom mini-blinds or shades; however, I was getting very tired of having no privacy. I wanted something “room darkening” and that could be easily installed as well as raised/lowered with ease. These are the only ones I found with a “cord” - the others have clips.First and foremost, if I can install these (without any help!!) ANYONE can do it! All you need is a tape measure, pencil and a SHARP knife. (Seriously, it needs to be sharp!) I followed the very simple, well explained directions, trimmed the blinds to fit my windows and voilà, PRIVACY and no sunlight on the face first thing in the a.m.!The only “con” is that the ends sorta hang down when they are in a raised position - but it’s not atrocious. So far, I have NO COMPLAINTS. The adhesive seems very strong, the blinds appear to be of good quality and they go up and down with the greatest of ease! Can’t beat the price! I did 6 windows for less than what one window would’ve cost me AND no drill or handy man’s assistance was required or needed! If you’re on the fence, go for it! Best $36 I’ve spent in a long time!

Not light-blocking--good otherwise
The version of these blinds that come in white with an aluminum coating are not light-blocking. They aren't advertised as such; however, I assumed with the aluminum coating, they would be. (I was wrong.) Quite a bit of light still gets through, which is OK, unless that's not what you want.As for installation, getting the backing strip off the adhesive is an exercise in madness. The adhesive is VERY tacky (which is good), but getting a start on the backing strip was difficult. Then, the backing strip would tear, and you'd have to start all over again. Once that backing strip was off, installation was ridiculously easy. Keep in mind, you get ONE SHOT at placing the blinds. If you screw up, the likelihood you will be able to reposition the blinds is essentially zero. After you get the covering installed, be sure to GENTLY pull the blind down as far as it will go. This should separate the pleats that stick together. After that, you can adjust to taste. You can also trim the string to fit. Just understand once you do that, you won't lower the blind further than the end of the string.I didn't purchase these to be temporary; that is, I intend on leaving them up as long as they are servicable. I don't mess with blinds/shades much, so I'm thinking they will last quite a while. If you are an "up and down" person with blinds and shades, I would not expect this solution to last long.

Very nice option as temporary window shades and can also make it permanent using curtains
This is a very nice temporary window shades but honestly this can be left for long term purpose too with the way they look as much as a permanent solution. I was planning to have a blackout curtains for my windows and this was a perfect solution for me not to have custom blinds drilling holes..etcThis is well suited, my only concern was with the adhesive that it doesn't hold well on the long run. I saw a few parts of the stick at the top peeling off and coming down due to the weight of the shades' lower part. I think if they can improve on the adhesion part these are excellent options and very cost-effective solutions for window blinds.
