It gets the job done.
It does get the job done but it is difficult to use because of the tightness of the slot. You cannot put your rotary cutter in the middle of the slot you have to do it at the end with the teardrop meaning that you have to use a large mat even on the smallest of squares.

Great for accurately cutting 8 at a time HSTs
Sometimes when cutting 8AAT HSTs the cuts are not at right angles and then some cannot be trimmed to exact size as they’re too small. This template eliminated that problem. Not useful, though, for small sizes.
