Fit perfect on new 2023 Ram Laramie
Before you begin, you will need to temporarily detach a wire harness pin that is located above the exhaust pipe and near the 2 bolts that need to be removed. You will remove the 2 large bolts in the frame by using a 13/16 breaker bar (they are torqued really well). Once you remove the 2 bolts, you can then position the step into place. It was a bit tricky to insert the step because you have to lie on your back and then carefully angle the part to get around the exhaust pipe. I recommend that the vehicle not be running or recently operated as you will get burned. There is a protruding pin at the top of the step part that aligns with a slot in the truck frame. Once you align the part you can then hang it from that hole in the frame. It then becomes easy to bolt the product in place. There is a 3rd short bolt that comes with the step that will need to be torqued into place. You will not need the nut that comes with it as the frame already has it welded into place. Make sure you torque the 2 bolts back on and re-pin the wire harness you initially moved out of the way.

Great product, amazon shipping bangs it up pretty bad (replacements too)
PROS: The step works great once installed. Requires removal of 2 long bolts on a 2021 ram 1500, putting it in place then reinstalling 2 bolts plus a third from this package. Not terribly hard but I recommend a breaker bar and a compact drill to speed things up. Also, extend the step before trying to position, way easier.Cons: instructions are photocopied so many times you can't read them. As long as you find the keyhole that the stub fits into you will be able to figure it out.Amazon ships it in a flimsy box inside of a second larger box. There is too much room in the larger box so it bangs around BAD. The outer box on both of mine were torn up from this also. The first one had the metal of the main bracket bent so bad I couldn't install. The second was bent but I was able to get it in place and use the tension on the bolts to straighten it out for the most part. Really wish they would package better.

Perfect fit 2023 Ram Rebel
This thing fit perfect and wasn’t to hard to install. The hardest part is getting the factory bolts off. I used a breaker bar to get them loose then a 1/2” long handle ratchet to get them out the rest of the way. (Deep socket) Clip the zip tie that holds the wiring harness in place then zipped it up and away afterwards. It took me about 45 min but if I had to do it again I could do it in 15. All my friends want one now but these are only for Ram. ps Yes the box it’s shipped in is garbage and had a couple small scuffs but I touched them up with a little black paint that I sprayed into a rag and dabbed on. Can’t see it anyways.

Seems very well-made for the price
The step seems like a copy of the Mopar version. It fits like a glove into the bumper recess of my truck and matches the bumper almost identically. Install is not too terrible but I'd budget about an hour vs. the 30 minutes that some are saying. If you have dual exhausts the clearance to install the step is a bit tight and breaking the bolts loose that secure the hitch can be challenging. For the price compared to the $400 they charge for the Mopar one I think it is a pretty solid deal. Of course the 2 main concerns are 1) how will it hold up with continuous use and 2) how weather resistant will it be with rain, snow, road salt, etc. I suppose time will tell. Definitely add some anti-seize compound to the bolt threads when installing. In the event the step fails, at least the bolts will come out easily. For now, I am completely satisfied.

Garbage, it failed after less than three months
At first this step seemed great, but it failed after less than three months. This product hadn't seen any kind of abuse or anything out of the scope of just normal usage, when yesterday I got out of my truck to see it hanging down loose. I discovered that one of the retaining pins has apparently worked loose while driving and ejected itself. The two holes indicated by the red arrows are supposed to be joined by a pin in the same way as the connection at the green arrow. Unfortunately this step was improperly made/assembled by the manufacturer, which has rendered it useless. Even though the seller advertises a 12-month warranty, there does not appear to be any way to get in touch with them for this purpose. Don't waste your money on this worthless excuse for a product.
