Home to Her: Walking the Transformative Path of the Sacred Feminine Paperback – October 3, 2022

I had never heard of the Sacred Feminine discussed in Western culture until I participated in Liz’s Facebook group and listened to a few episodes in her podcast. I’ve grown up with Hindu Goddesses, felt at home with them and also never fully understood their significance in my life. I’ve been going through my own emotional journey as my life has not felt quite right, not quite mine. I recently read A Radical Awakening by Shefali Tsabary which jarringly awakened me…told me live consciously. But how? I needed more. Perhaps a mothers love? Enter Home To Her. Liz is practical, down to earth and fully aware of the world, yet shows you a path that allows you to connect with the earth, connect with ancestors, and consciously participate in what I previously defined as “woo”. She reveals to you that you CAN find the joy in the magic of the world and our existence. Liz gives you a path to self liberation so that you can speak the truth in daily lives against the unjust. Home to Her was recommended to me by someone who accepts transwomen are women and that gender need not be binary. I open the book and start to read... there are a few moments where the author acknowledges that she's been likened to terf-ism. I read on. And although Childs-Kelly does lens most of her personal experience through her "She"ing, Childs-Kelly invites everyone to the divine "feminine" however feels best to them and recognizes that all gender identity is valid.Beyond the first scare I was warmly welcomed into a delightful expanse of anthropological whimsy, historical oddities, and heartbreaking personal anecdotes.I'm someone that marks up my books and upon a second flip through I'm reminded of all my moments of LOL. Her writing is lyrical, punchy, and funny while enhancing the magic, heart, and smarts of it all.

I truly enjoyed the journey to the Sacred Feminine that Kelly explores. This book is rich in detail and research, and yet warm and personal. A lovey blend of the local and the global. A real treat for the soul.

Liz Kelly's personal stories, wealth of research and experiences, make this book so enjoyable. Kelly's clear, honest and vulnerable writing draws us into her heart, as she takes us on a journey of finding the Great Mother, the Sacred Feminine, at the heart of everything in our lives. Her research draws so much history and myth and ways of approaching Her, all together in one book, that it is the best "crash course" on the Sacred Feminine I have found anywhere. A delight to read, as Kelly draws us deep into the heart of Her wisdom.

The perfect balance of expansive yet tangible content about female spirituality. I connected with this book in a way that was both grounded and ethereal. And the author is relatable and inspiring. Truly what I had been looking for.

I find this topic fascinating and appreciate all of Liz Kelly’s work on this thru podcasts and to have this in the book is good review for me. Born and raised Catholic and always cherish my faith and love of the Mother and Goddesses.. I refer to Mother God and honor Mother Earth on my farm with family. My church ! An incredible dive into the Divine Feminine. This is a great overview for anyone that is starting their journey or looking to deepen their knowledge of the sacred feminine. Reading this book has ignited something deep within me and is transforming the way I live my life.
