Q: Can heart and heat pad be in together at the same time?

Yes and my puppy loved the heart. I only used the heat once because it did not seem to be important. She still sleeps with her bunny however bunny is now heartless and sewn up.

Q: How long does the heartbeat stay on once the button is pushed ?

It stayed on throughout the night, but my pup is a very active chewer. I was worried about her eating it so I didn't use it for more than a night or two.

Q: What type of batteries does this take? I thought they would be included, but i don't see them and i can't seem to find the right ones..
