That's right these little cutters are the Best pair of Scissors Fiskars ever made. Many years back Homeland security decided to take away any sharp objects from passengers before boarding the airplane. On Kauai the confiscated scissors were given to the Humane Society as a donation. I wandered into the store and picked up 6 pairs of various small scissors. One pair stood out as the sharpest and best. The best pair of 5" Fiskars had a flat head screw holding it together. I liked them so much that I spent years Googling and searching for another pair. Some people posted pictures of this pair but they were the 5" Fiskars with a Phillips head screw. Close but no cigar. FINALLY, ... After all these years I found them on Amazon. I'mnow thinking of buying a dozen and give them as Christmas gifts. They are MOST EXCELLENT.

Love the item. Better due to where they are made.

I bought them as a gift for my daughter. She uses them all the time and she loves them.

Don't buy this for kids or people who use mind altering substances while crafting. I like the new material but the color of beige in the photos looks better than it does in real life. It's more dark and grayish in person.

I go out of my way to support companies who choose to manufacture domestically and in Europe, a region with one of the most stringent worker, material, and environmental safety standards.These scissors are made of recycled and renewable materials. This is a really nice selling point! The steel blades are made of 85-95% recycled steel and the double-loop handle is made of 66% recycled plastic and 34% renewable cellulose fiber.I am an avid sewist and have been in need of replacing my old pair of fabric scissors. This pair is such an upgrade! I really like the neutral beige color of the handles. I'm right handed and these feel great to hold. The ergonomics and sharp blades make these very easy to slice through fabric. I chose the 8" blade and it's a great mid-size scissor.These are very fairly priced too. I had had my eye on a pricier German brand. These are a nice alternative.I'm really happy with these scissors from Fiskars and expect them to hold up well to many years of use.

They are definitely not as sharp as i thought they would be so not useful for needing precise cutting
