These batteries work in my 12-year-old Panasonic KX-TG6581/83T DECT 6.0 Handsets!
Why do manufacturers have to make EVERYTHING — even buying replacement batteries — so frigging difficult, and then compound the problem by writing unintelligble descriptions that would confuse the person who *invented* the cordless phone?!After spending far too much time trying to figure out the correct replacement batteries for my 12-year-old Panasonic cordless phone handsets (base station model KX-TG6581 or KX-TG6583T, depending on which label on the phone you believe), I ordered these batteries because they were the least expensive ($10.90 for 4) rechargeable batteries which appeared to match the exact specs of the original Panasonic batteries (which lasted 10+ years). The replacement batteries came professionally wrapped (see photo), not just rattling around in a plastic bag. Both handsets detected the batteries immediately, and after 6-8 hours of charging, the batteries now register as fully charged. The “Use Rechargeable Batteries” message is finally gone from both handsets and they are now working normally for the first time since the original batteries started dying.I’ve posted pics of the original batteries and these replacements. On the surface, they appear identical to the OEM batteries (except for a slight color difference) and the replacements say “Panasonic.” Do I think they are genuine Panasonic batteries? I wouldn’t put money on it. The wording on the batteries is identical, but the typeface is a little different and the new batteries say “Panasonic corporation” (small “c” in corporation), which is one typo I doubt the real Panasonic Corporation would make.Whether these batteries are genuine Panasonic or good look-alikes, they charged as promised and the phones work. That’s all I wanted. If they spontaneously combust or die prematurely, I’ll update this review, but for the moment, they appear to be working as promised and are the best deal I could find on Amazon for this type of battery.5 stars.

Holds a charge
It's a perfect replacement for the existing Panasonic batteries. It's much cheaper than buying new phones, but it definitely helps to clean your charging contacts on both the charging station and the phones with a pencil eraser.
