Minutes With Me - October - Childrens (Family Time) Educational Activity Kit

I like the idea behind this kit. It gives you ideas and talking points in order to spend quality time with your kid. However, it is not really what I expected. I was hoping for more quick activities, ones for when you only have "minutes". Guess that's just a clever name. Almost all the activities are time consuming and it seems you need to have a lot of craft supplies on hand. Some of the activities suggested include "go swimming", "ride bikes", "make books", "have a carnival". Not exactly "minutes" activities.There are the little conversation cards, which are quick little questions to get the kid thinking. However, not very effective with a 3 year old.We played BINGO which was pretty easy for the 3 year old to understand with the cute pictures and simple words or phrases. She did not get the "4 in a row to win" concept, but she loved when I would tell her she won. We played that quite a few times and I know she will ask for it again.Also, she noticed the fishing pole in the kit. She is very interested, but there is no way I would be able to tell her she can only "catch" one fish and follow up with that activity. She will want to "fish" all day!I like that the playing cards can be used for multiple games and that the instructions are included for them. Those will be a nice traveling toy.I think we would use this during a lazy summer day. Or possibly a rainy day. Most definitely a day when we have LOTS of time.The kit is very good quality; nice thick paper and cardboard, metal binder rings, magnetic fishing pole, plastic easel, nice case for playing cards.Overall, I like the kit and I think we will use it more as the kiddo gets older.I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest review.

I ordered this educational activity kit as I am trying to homeschool my preschoolers. They liked playing the "fishing" game where you "fish" for a fish with a couple of activity choices on it to do. They also liked playing the matching card game. This is a good activity kit to keep them learning and having fun at the same time. This is a nice guide for activities to do with kids. I have not tried out any other month activity kits, so I'm limited in experience with these kits but I would like to try a different activity month kit and see how it is.Disclosure: I received this product at a discount or for free for my honest review. Really great activities and the kids were happy to open it June 1 and start exploring! I didn't realize it was geared toward dads, but as a mom, I'm enjoying using this with our four kids!I received this item for free or discounted in order to provide an honest review.
