Q: How high should I place the transmitter?

As high as possible for better signal transmission

Q: MIne did not come with instructions and I can't find anywhere online. Can somebody tell me how to set it up?

Make sure everything is charged if you are using it as a fence. You will be able to change the mode it will give you a reading of 10-100 set it to your yardage that you want. It will beep a warning when it gets to the yardage you pick and the color only uses power when it gets close to the yardage you have set. My collars last about 4days on a single charge. Q: On the transmitter it says it goes from 1-100 but on the manual it says 30ft to 1000ft.I don't know how to set the boundry.

The 1-100 stand for 30-1000feet, but they are not right one-to-one correspondence, You have to set a range number and hold the collar in hand to test the range.

Q: How often do you need to recharge the base and recievers??

We just charge it nightly. Probably could go longer
