Use VirtualDub and get a better CS mount lens. Works great!
Not too much to say about this camera that hasn't been covered by other reviewers. It connected just fine and I had no problem with drivers, power, etc. One thing that surprised me is that it is quite difficult to change the frame rate. The cameras wants to record at 60 FPS at high re, 120 FPS at med res, and 260 FPS at low res (640x360). You're pretty much stuck with that.As far as software, just use VirtualDub in AVI capture mode. Works perfectly and drops/adds very, very few frames (less than 0.1%).As for the quality of the picture, we have to remember that the effective shutter speed is less than 0.004 seconds (1/250 second) for a tiny imaging device at 260 FPS. The lens that comes with it is OK quality, but it's a zoom lens with manual aperture and focus. I switched to a similar, but larger, lens that came with another USB camera I had and the image quality/brightness/contrast improved significantly. I then switched to a 12 mm fixed focal length CS mount lens (i.e., a faster lens) and got an even better image. It's still not social media quality, but it's much more acceptable. Keep your eye out for new or used CS mount lenses and grab a few of different focal lengths. You'll get better results than using a smaller variable focal length lens like the one that comes with the camera.

Excellent for Viewing Golf Swing
This review is for the 2.8-12mm zoom version of this camera. As shown in the picture, I am able to get a decent view of my golf driver head at impact with my 95 mph driver swing speed. I used free PC software from Kenovia to get this picture. The key is to get a lot of light illuminating the driver head. The camera's sensor has an electronic shutter that you can set very short to freeze the action, but you need a lot of light. I used 9000 lumens (three 3000 lumen spot light bulbs). In the software, the setting for "Exposure" sets the shutter speed, and "Gain" sets the brightness. You want "Exposure" to be low enought to stop the action. Set "Gain" to see the image. The higher the gain, the brighter but grainier the image. If you can't get a good picture, you probably need more light. I used 640 x 360 resolution as that gives the highest frame rate. I first tried 6000 lumens of light, but the picture got better with the 3rd bulb.

Seems like a good product, I have only been using for a few days
My first one was defective, but they replaced it promptly and this is a good quality, optical zoom/focus camera. It has a fast frame rate and would really work well for brocasting over the net. As a webcam, it is not designed for up close and does not perform well in low or medium light,If your streaming live video and/or recording with studio quality lighting, this camera really performs well for the price.

Not great for recording golf swing
Had a hard time getting the whole swing in view. Video quality wasn’t great and I believe you’re only going to see high frame rate on the lowest quality video.

Exceedingly Clear Sharp Focus and Well Built!
I received this as part of the Amazon Vine program for free, which has no bearing on my review. This camera is not light weight. Once you understand the nuances of the focus and aperture you are sure to find this camera has a sharper image that others similar in cost. You will need to purchase some sort of small tripod if you intend to use this as a webcam. It is not light and does not come with any means to mount. It does include 4 drywall plugs and screws but no clue why they were included, there is nothing to use them with in the package. Because of the clarity of the focus and zoom I intend to mount this in a location for some time lapse video work.Pro - very sharp high-resolution image perfect for working remotely and joining conference calls. The cord is very long and adequate. Sturdy camera body. Works right out of the box with the native Windows 10 application. Worked related conference call application needed no additional configuration.Con - Comes with no mounting hardware, because it is sturdy it is also too heavy to sit on top of a monitor. Need to purchase 'tri-pod' or other mounting hardware to use. Because of this I wouldn't call it a webcam out of the box.

image not sharp.
The image quality is not that good, reminds me of an old flip phone, Doesn't look like a 1080p image. The lens is good for close up shots but for distant images its really hard to focus. The focal distance is terrible and super touchy and difficult to get it to focus. The zoom feature works well and has a good range. It does seem to be built very well, its solid and heavy too bad the image is a big let down.

Good for showing close up details
The product page listing is long and confusing, so here is a simplification:-This is a 1080p 60 fps 4x manual zoom, manual focus webcam.-The higher framerates listed are only at lower resolutions.-Resolution is adjusted by downloadable software detailed in the manualThe camera has three adjustments: zoom level, focus and aperture. The aperture restricts light and can be completely closed to act as a second lens cover. There is also a plastic lens cover included. The depth of field of the focus when fully zoomed is pretty small, similar to but not as little as a microscope. You will need a small flathead screwdriver to adjust the screws that hold each of the adjustment rings on the lens. The camera has a 1/4" hole for mounting. The housing is well constructed and sturdy. The camera has a short cable plugged into a lengthy extension. The focus can be directed to the camera lenses themselves, where I noticed some tiny flaws. I was unable to clean or remove them but they did not seem to impact image quality. The 4x zoom gets you closer into things than you might expect. As a result, this camera would be useful for demonstrating fine details of activities. For anything involving people, the limited depth of field of the focus zoomed in will make it hard to use.
