Great power supply
I bought this to power my CB radio and it does the job great. It gets a little warm if I talk a long time but it has never gotten hot. Very quiet I get no interference from the power supply. I will probably buy a second one.

Great product. Works as expected.
I am using it to power a mobile radio and it operates flawlessly. Powers on and off perfectly and the output voltage is steady and on the mark. I would recommend this power supply to power your 13.8 volt equipment.

Used to power IC-7300 at campground.
I used this to power the screwdriver control for my Black Widow Scorpion Antenna connected to my Icom 7300 while RV camping with the family at Lake Cachuma in California. Operating at 100 watts on 10 meters I was able to clearly hear and contact via SSB a station in Australia. Noise was not an issue. Turning the noise offset knob had no obvious effect. In hindsight this could simply be that the 7300 has incredible noise reduction/blanking, but this device performed perfectly for me and spared me lugging my linear up there. Unit seems well constructed. I also didn't have it heat up all that much while using it, but the antenna control is a low amp intermittent use and the 7300 only pulls about 20 amps when transmitting. My contacts were all brief so someone on a rag chew might be able to keep their coffee warm on it after all. I'll never know.73 N3XIV

Great Small Power Supply!
What a great little power supply! It has a small footprint, but doesn't feel cheap at all. It's got a bit of heft to it, but not overly so. Feels like it's built well. It does what it's supposed to do, and very simple at that. Delivers 13.8vdc with up to 30A current available. I'm powering an 11m CB at just a couple amps and a 2m/70cm VHF/UHF that draws 12A max, so just using 1/2 its rated capacity. Heck, for $90 I'll just buy another one for additional radios or 13.8vdc needs. Great value and good add to the shack for inexpensive radios. Not sure I'd trust it to drive an FT-DX10 or IC7300, but it could be just fine. Don't know what protections (if any) it has up front. If you have a small space and need an inexpensive 30A 13.8, give this little guy a try. Looks fantastic too!

Nice power supply!
This is a quality unit, put a splitter on it and it runs my radio and amplifier no problem, great for ham radio setup, highly recommended.

Keeping this purely for the Amp meter!
Bought this to use with a ham radio so I could see how many AMPS it was pulling when transmitting low, mid, high power (didn't want to hookup a multimeter or wattmeter every time).Just be aware that the back terminal connectors are rated 30A max. while the cig plug at the front is only rated for 10A max (would have liked it better if it was 15A at least). The only other minus is that it does run a little warm even while not I'm only transmitting a few seconds here and there, and the fan only kicks in when it really gets warm but it's not noticeably noisy or anything. However, t I still like it more than the Pyramid PSV150 12A power supply mostly because of it's built-in amp meter.Haven't had any noise issues so haven't noticed the 'Noise Offset' knob making any difference, but it's good that they thought of it (assuming it works when needed).

2 ways to use it. Cigarette lighter plug or screw posts
Seems to be a very good and stable pwr supply. I really like the fact that I can use it with a cigarette plug or use the screw posts on the back of the unit. I would definitely recommend it.

Works great!
I like the classic look and performance of the power supply. I'm using it to run a 25 watt VHF/UHF HAM radio, but it could handle a lot more. I've only had it for a couple months, so time will tell, but so far it's 10/10.

Fantastic value and performance
I have been using this power supply on both HF and VHF for the past month. It has worked flawlessly, very quiet on all bands. I thought the Noise Offset would be a useful feature, but the Power Supply is so quiet I haven't needed it.There are a few comments in other reviews about excessive fan noise, however I question if there has been a design change. The supply I received has the fan on a temp sensor and it only comes on as needed if I am transmitting 50-100 watts for an extended period of time. Even then, it may only run for 60-90 seconds until it cools down, otherwise it is silent.12V power point is handy on the front. The ONLY small wishlist item would be to add Anderson Power Pole connections in addition to the 12V power point, but that is easy to remedy with a DIY pigtail. The selectable voltage/ammeter is quite handy and seems quite accurate. As an FYI the voltage meter will not register a voltage reading without a load. All in all, it performs perfectly and as advertised and is great value for the price.

DANGER
Do not buy this power supply. On switching on loud bang sparks ffom output. Took out trips. On metering found dead short to earth from both positive and negative.

Works great
I am using it for a VHF ham radio. draw is 13.8 amps and 50 watts. no rf noise at all. lots of power. Lightweight.

did not work
when first time plugged in there was a popping sound from in side and it started smoking.

Great Linear power supply!!!
I really love this linear power supply, gives a constant 13.8 volts and has a handy noise reducer control built in. I use this for both my HF radio and my VHF/UHF radio's. It has a handy 12 volt car socket in the front and two power poles in the back for connecting different type of radios. I highly recommend this power supply. Sturdy built and very reliable worth every penny!!!
