Indesit Washing Machine Drain Pump (220-240V Askoll Type) [Energy Class A+++]

Came early , nearly bought a new washer but this saved the day

Bought this replacement pump for our washing machine that was playing up,We did find a blockage in the waste water outlet pipe, which we soon fixed,But all the lights kept on flashing on our indesit washing machine, which means usually that the filter is blocked, ( usually found underneath the panel at the front of the washing machine at the bottom,You will need quite a few towels if the washing machine has stopped mid washing cycle and you need to unscrew the filter to see if there is a blockage there, ONLY unscrew the filter slowly otherwise the water will go everywhere quickly,If the washing machine is empty of water one towel will be enough to soak up the little water as you unscrew the filter,If you can, you could alternatively take off the waste water outlet hose and drain into a bucket or large bowl,Or holding outlet hose upright/high put the end of the hose outside to drain most of the water,This pump is held in place normally by 2 screws either side of the filter,and 2 squeeze clips inside the washing machine, turn the washing machine onto its side to access these, (found normal size Pliers work best for squeezing clips),Then take off old pump and put on new pump putting pipes on first, making sure squeeze clips are correctly seated, then the 2 screws at the front of the washing machine,Job done,A competent diy person should have it done in approx 10 to 15 mins,Always check all pipes for blockages, you'd be surprised what gets through into them,A great way to have a fully functioning washing machine again at a very good price, especially as the cost of replacing a washing machine can be high,Would recommend.

Electrical connectors on the pump differed from the original but an enclosed adapter did the job perfectly. Ordered on Friday and fitted to the washer by Monday. Excellent service

This did the job and now have a fully working washing machine with quick delivery and was a perfect fit
