Despite my daughter informing me that these were what old people used, I went ahead and bought one of these as once down on my knees, I find it difficult to get up again and usually look for other things to do while I'm down there. Yes dear daughter like, and old person. It's probably because I spent hours kneeling on the floor picking up after you that my knees are buggered in the first place. Anyway, it's nice and sturdy, much stronger than I expected it to be and has the added bonus of turning into a stool when turned up the other way. Very handy for when I'm skiving in the greenhouse with a glass of wine instead of cooking the dinner. The handy little pouch that hangs on the side is perfect for the gardening tools that came with it. These are a nice touch and actually very usable, strong with nice wooden handles. Leave them in the shed and you can replace them with secateurs a dibber and an individual bottle of wine. The seat/kneeling pads are comfy enough and I can see myself using this for years to come.

I love this kneeler, I spent several hours weeding which would have been less productive without it..Its sturdy, easy to open & close...Edges of the pad are a little firm, may benefit from a pad or something..While sitting could topple if ground sloping, which mine is..Overall, a great product...

It's lightweight, sturdy, certainly fit for purpose as a garden kneeler/stool. The tools are top heavy though so they actually stick out to the side when in the hanger. Just a bit dangerous for kids, dogs and my elderly mums legs as it turns out. I took the hanger off.

This kneeler seat is better quality than expected so when the weather is more agreeable I will be using it regularly .

Very sturdy, perfect for the purpose. I have had 2 hip replacement and a knee replacement and I can kneel and rise up again with little trouble.

Very useful if standing from kneeling is difficult ! Made weeding and planting much easier ! Portable and folds neatly .

This review is based upon time of receipt of the Garden Kneeler, not feedback after long term usage. I am a tradesman, and IMO the product is solid, and easy to use, for this price point. It is not light compared to aluminum, but is also not anywhere near heavy either...a little more than 1/2 gallon of milk. The primary reason for purchase was to aid my elderly Mother during kneel to stand transitions, and the product works well for this need. My wife has Muscular Dystrophy, and in spite of her significantly weakened grip and being far weaker than my 82 year old Mother, she is still strong enough to squeeze as needed to allow the legs to open/close. The foam is both soft/firm enough as is for us....but easy to alter with aftermarket products. Ours is the 10 1/2" x 24" base, and being smaller is more adaptable to uneven garden terrain than the model with a larger depth, but if stability is of greater importance, then definitely purchase the type with a larger base. So this product has no bells or whistles with customization options, but end of the day it works for our need and I would purchase again!.
