Neon Genesis Evangelion: The Shinji Ikari Raising Project Omnibus Volume 4 Paperback – August 15, 2017

Neon Genesis Evangelion The Shinji Ikari Raising Project volume 4 continues to Eva's Rom Com with Asuka trying to make up lost ground to newcomer Rei Ayanami. Will she succeed or will Rei be best girl yet again? Gendo also keeps his chad status in this volume the fact that Gendo is one of the funniest characters is surprising. I know this is an alternative universe but this is still one of the funniest things. Dr. Soryu makes an appearance seeing Asuka's for the first time and she's not unit 002 is welcoming. Lets not forget Shinji the main protagonist who is following in his fathers footsteps in being a chad in the making assembling an all-star harem. The manga series is easily one of my favorites definitely for the fans.

Shallow but very fun to read especially considering how dark and suffering the original series was.

This series isn't bad at all, I really enjoy seeing emotion coming from Rei. I will say that it does kinda annoy me that Kaowru is so blatantly gay, I would rather see him play less of a role. In this chapter, we get to see a bit of the eva plugs, though not the evas themselves. Shinji continues his clueless antics surrounded by Rei and Asuka, but they make advances towards him. I love the artwork on Rei, it's completely breathtaking. Gendo is such a ridiculous contrast to his original character, and this makes his outbursts extremely hilarious!! I would say if you liked the first one or two in this series and for the sake of collecting, go for this one!

Nice to see that oska is getting more screen time

I began reading this manga fter finishing the Manga for the original Evangelion series, and honestly I don't see a lot of the characters' personalities showing through. It's in and entertaining, but doesn't evoke many of the powerfully emotional responses that the original series does. However, as a standalone work, it's very good. It's got all of the crazy, kooky antics and budding young love that manga addicts such as myself appreciate.

I swear that Misato's boobs keep getting bigger with each book. Same fan-service laden content as before. Definitely not high-minded literature here, but at least you get to see Asuka and Rei (and many others) naked, so bonus points I guess?
