Q: How much steam/vapour does this unit expel with fresh potatoes in ?

As with any fryer you will constantly have steam no matter how long you cook them for. I find when I use mine I sit it on a tray on top of the hob with my overhead extractor on. If you do not have one of these I have also positioned it on the tray but by a slightly open back door.

Q: Does this come with uk plug ?

Mine came with a European plug that I replaced with a UK 13 amp one. Alternatively an adaptor is readily available but if you choose this route there may not be sufficient space in the cord tidy area at rear of fryer to store the plug without removing the adaptor.
