Idk what the deal was in our home, but in 1 month, we went through 3-4 can openers!! I was so perplexed. Could not keep a can opener working for nothing it seemed! I had bought one with a lifetime warranty at TJ Maxx even. Decided not to request its replacement because it had such a scrappy performance I didn't want to experience it again. This was pur based during the bad-luck spree of can openers, and I'm happy to say, it has continued to work Great!! Durability exceeded 4 other brands, comfortable to hold, made of a nice material, very easy to turn, and it leaves smooth edges so it's a nice safety feature.

I have gone through countless "quality" can openers, I got so fed up with wasting my money on can openers that would eventually break or stop working. Not to mention they were all unsafe for my kids to use. so I decided to buy this one, it's very safe no sharp edges on the lids or on the cans themselves. it works wonderfully. so far it has been worth every cent.

Love the concept especially compared to the traditional can opener.Was excited to have a modern engineered design, opening the lid from the side lip instead of the top.Relatively easy to use but didn’t always cut through. Would have to go around the can more than once in many cases. Often times leaving tiny metal shards. Didn’t notice at first until I was removing the lid one time and had one of the slivers stab me. Had to pull out with tweezers.No matter how cautious in operation, too concerned about metal contamination in my food. Reluctantly had to throw away after only about ten uses.

It’s a little odd to get hooked onto the can but works well. Good item for the money.

I have only good things to say about this product.Safe cutters are in fact much easier to use as compared to the universe of conventional can openers (most of which are junk). But I notice many comments that it doesn't cut.It may be useful for the instructions to point out that safe cutters work like this one work like pipe-cutters. With each turn the blade cuts a little deeper into the can, until eventually, it cuts through. So, the opener needs to go around the top of the can a few times for the blade to fully cut through.Once it does, the cut is clean, safe and requires much less effort than a conventional cutter.

This odd-looking can opener is one of my best Amazon purchases ever. I struggled for way too long with an old manual can opener that killed my wrist, ruffled the tops of cans & skipped over areas of the lid I was trying to cut. (Ridiculous!) Fed up, I decided to try this strange design by a brand that was unfamiliar to me, but the product had good reviews. I love this thing! It cuts around a lid so effortlessly & smoothly that at first you may think that you are not cutting into the lid at all. Then the opener's magnet will grab the lid & hold onto it when the device has circled the lid. The edges of the can & the lid will be perfectly smooth with no sharp edges. I liked this product so much I bought 4 more in different colors for family members. Totally weird gift, I know, but comes Armageddon, we won't be starving. Ha ha ha. I highly recommend this can opener.

We had a couple of the battery powered smooth edge can openers that stopped working, and so I went looking for a manual version instead. I found this one and it was exactly what I wanted.It creates the same smooth edge cut with one pass around the can. It feels sturdy enough, and it's not too bulky so it fits in a drawer easily.
