Indoor Air Quality Meter (HCHO) PM2.5 / PM10 / TVOC Tester, Accurate testing with time display, for detecting outdoor air pollution

We bought this to test the air in our homeWe have tested it in a few places, both inside and outside and the measurements are very reliable.We have also tried to create changes in conditions: like opening the window when we knew the air outside was rather polluted or turning on the air filter in the room.In all these situations this detector was very sensitive to the changes and reflected accurate values.

Our office was experiencing a problem, at random times we'd smell fumes that smelt a lot like aircraft fumes. It later transpired an oil burner in the area which supplies our building with air from outside, was faulty, and the fumes were being pulled straight in. This unit allowed me to see when the fumes were in the office air because the particulates would rise ahead of any detectable odour. It also helped pressure the building management into getting the problem resolved.An interesting point of interest. I took it on Regent St of London, it read 2.5 particles at about 40ppm and 10 particles at 30ppm - quite high from a base of 002-4ppm indoors, in London. The scary part was, on the London Underground the levels rose to 180ppm for 2.5 and 120ppm for 10!!! No wonder you see black when you blow your nose after using the tube... it is far, far worse than a busy road.So, this works brilliantly. The battery is good. When people brush their teeth it will detect VOCs and HCHO, or, like at home, if you have fresheners (or disturb house plants), you'll see a spike in both readings. The responses are near instant (in spite of what I read from others, who, perhaps had a faulty unit)?The reason this gets 4 stars and not 5 is because this is clearly a Chinese-made product, and when their air is unhealthy it says "Unqualified" - which would be the wrong translation for sure. If that doesn't bother you (and it certainly doesn't me), then you shouldn't hesitate to purchase this item, it'll do exactly what you want.

The unit powered up, the display lit up (see attached image) and the fan could be heard, but there was no menu system or text displayed. Pressing the buttons made no difference.On the plus side the box was nice and the manual, although small, was written in English and was better than expected.Returned. Will try a different model.

This thing is great really accurate and more sensitive than you would think.

I specifically bought the product to monitor PM2.5 levels. Unfortunately, t the mechanism it uses for measuring PM2.5 confounds particulate matter with air moisture. If you use the sensor in a steamy shower room or on a high humidity day, the PM readings will be high.This means that its hard to compare two locations as they will differ in humidity. Comparing a location near a roadside to a location up a hill in the countryside, the country produced a higher PM level as there was more water vapour in the air.That said, given that a scientific monitoring kit could cost upwards of £10k , the Igeress is the best realistic option for trying to get a handle on air pollution levels in your area.

I am not sure it works accurately. It is showing Fresh in all of my rooms, and then it showed Fresh in my son's flat, which is on a very busy road. In fact his readings were better than mine, altho I have an air purifier! I think I have to return it, very expensive if it doesn't work properly.

Really good. Simple to use.

TVOC works well, I put it into a new drawer (very smelly) and could see the TVOC figure climbing up, and then I took it to the bedroom, the TVOC figure dropped significantly.However, I never see the HCHO figure changed, it's 0.00 all the time...I am not sure there is really no HCHO in my apartment? or that sensor doesn't work?
