Best way to make coffee at home. Allows for experimentation but makes a great cup of coffee. My preferred method over french press or aeropress.

Not impressed, constantly muddy brews no better than a Hario V60
I'd like to think I know what I'm doing when it comes to coffee brewing. I'm using fresh (rested) beans, a Kinu M47 hand grinder, and following some of the most popular Kalita Wave recipes online. While I could get some acceptable brews out of the Wave, when brewed side-by-side with the V60, the V60 brew was always superior in clarity and flavour. The Kalita brews would still pass as good coffee, but why would I pay £40 for the dripper and filters to get a result I don't particularly like? It's certainly easier to brew with the Kalita, and I can see why it would be well suited to beginners, but the little extra effort required for a V60 brew is certainly worth it.
